    Start out clubs in Philly

Hey everyone I am new, I was just wondering what some good start out clubs were in Philly, and also what streets any dancer stores are on..I am going to be moving to center city in about a month most likely. I am really excited! I also remember hearing that you need a license to dance in philly is this true? Thank you!

So far as I know, and I'm just a custy, you need a liscense and it's $250. I would not reccommend starting at Show-n-Tel, (unless you're comfortable with dancing nude and having dollars thrown at your coot) Cheerleaders, (really high-contact bikini club) or Night on Broadway (basic brothel). They are a little less than top notch (I say this even though Show-n-Tel is my fave club).

I would reccommend starting off at somewhere like Wizzard's (heard from a friend that they're a pretty good place), Penn's Port, or maybe even Daydreams if you're comfy doing nude. If you're seasoned or experienced, go for Club Risque, Oasis, or even go for Delilah's, but be prepared to start off doing day shifts at Delilah's for a little while.

Thank you so much that was so informative! I'd like to work at Delilah's one day, but I want to get experience first and improve my dancing.

You do need a license to work in Philly, but clubs are lax on enforcing this, so don't worry about it until they tell you to get it.

Signatures hires tons of newbies. Talk to Candace during the weekdays. She will give almost anyone a shot. It's a good club, imo.

As for dancer stores, try South Street...Candy Store, E-Zone, Lady Lord.

Yeah, Penn's Port is quite difficulty to get bookings at from what I understand. Also, even though it is supposedly a topless club, every girl walks along the bar and pulls her thong to the side for tips. Just FYI. If nudity doesn't bother you, try Daydreams or Creekside Cabaret which is north of the city. Signatures might be pretty good for a newbie, it's a small club but there's usually custies there, plus it's easy to get to. I'm not a fan of Show n' Tel personally, so I won't comment there. Cheerleaders is a bikini club but as mentioned, rather high contact. Oasis and Risque are pretty nice, too. We've had this topic a few times, but I'm not sure if the search function is working again or not. If so, you should do a quick search and you'll get more info.

Sunkissed-Signatures is at 13th and Locust, yes. If you're driving, there's a parking garage on ....Juniper I think, right behind it, between 13th and Broad. Signatures used to validate parking if you parked in there for a discounted rate and I'm assuming they still do. And if you're ever in the mood to stop by Creekside, I'll be the bald yappy guy up in the dj booth, come say howdy. Good luck with everything.
