What kind of hair do guys prefer? Red, black, brown, blonde, blue? Curly, straight, wavy? Just wondering.

Honestly, I think it depends on the guy. I have straight black hair and am constantly getting compliments on it. Same with the girl who curls her blonde hair at work. To each their own, I think. But I'm a dancer, not a customer, so let's see.

    me personsally is brunette.
hair at least past the shoulders.
my personal favorite hair style is when you put the top half in a clip.
also a normal pony tail works too.

and for the love of pete make sure it feels soft on skin

Former Indy ATF: curly brunette shoulder length

In between favs: Mid-back red head; black, very short; shoulder length dirty blond and curly

Present ATF: Blond, straight down almost to her ass (Lady Godiva look)

Guess that says that something other than hair style and color gets my attention.

Yup, you're a long haired type of man. Color and style don't seem to matter all that much huh?

Hi cinammon...yeah I guess thats true although I hadnt really thought about it. I did spend some time with the one dancer with short hair but I never really liked that style. But she was awesome otherwise and I figured WTF its her hair.

Nice to see an Ohio poster here BTW ...they seem to be as rare as hens teeth

When I come into clubs as a custy (it's not often) I love anyone with "great" hair. It can be brown or blonde, red always seems to look brown anyway or maybe it's the color they are choosing. I like hair that isn't fried to the point where you are waiting for it break off, or the bright green which shows they didn't add toner.
I like long and soft looking straight or curly, but never poofy or looking like someone tried to brush out the curls, frizz is never hot.
I HATE the pony tails, unless they use them to pull out on stage, I use claws in my hiar to make it carzy and keep my neck dry, then I wip them off on stage. Girls with short hair that parely passes their ears, should never put in pony tails, it just looks ike they were wearing a wig recently and then took it off.
I'm not a fan of short hair, but if you rock it, go ahead!
Plus, hair on the head is always best, I'm not a fan of the bald dancers, I know it's their choice, but I've never thought it was pretty.

So it seem that the main thing for hair is long. I was wondering about, not normal hair colors like blue or purple. I was thinking about doing a color like that to my hair but, if it "cramps my style" so to speak, it may not be a wise investment.

Try it out with a non-premanent job. they spray in kind or something. Or even ask your customers! I was going to get a tattoo once and asked around, I asked my regs and strangers alike and since they all didn't tihnk it was a good idea, I didn't.
Not that I was letting them make my choice. When I went blonde I did it gradually, I went from black to brown to strkes to more and more and until I am now a golden-ash blonde and it looks god.
Drastic changes are a big deal because they are such a big change.Make a gradual change you might like the results after you are finished prefecting it.
BTW, what exactly did you have in mind?

plus, I've known girls with black in their blonde, lue in their brown and then this interesting maroon. It looked good on them, but think and experiemnt before you do anything premanent. I still haven't met a happy dancer that chopped off all her hair, she missed it and that pretty permanent concidering how long it took to grow.

I was thinking like a dark purple. Almost blackish blue but, more purple? Sort of. If you know what I mean. My hair is long and sooo thick. Arghhh I hate how thick it is. So I was wondering if this would have any effect on it.

I knew a gal who did the black-blue hair. It just looked black under the lights. She did have awesome hair, very Betty Paige. When I first started my hair was a med brown with gold highlights, chin length and flipped out. Now it's almost to my nipples with light layers and getting lighter with every visit to my stylist. Right now I'm obsessed with having Jessica alba's color. When I go to work I either style it stick straight or voluminous big curls. I've also started doing low pigtails when I wear my cowboy hat.

I like Long- Medium Long Dark Hair Myself.
That would be my personal Fave.
But I like just about Any hair color, length, style.
Some of the best dancers I ever saw had short, scruffy hair. (Usually frosted Blonde)

The only hairstyles I don't care for are Buzzcut/Mohawk/Punk-Shaves.
The only color I don't like is Truckstop Blonde. (think the gal from the Warrant Cherry Pie video of the very late 1980s)

I think Blue hair would be Killer as long as long as it isn't styled Industrial-Fetish with alternating black checkerboard weave and the other half of the head shaved to razor stubble...

Hair can be as unique as the varied girls from which I will partake. So long as it's healthy and cut attractively, color or length are not important.

That said, I have an admitted weakness for dark-haired girls.

I would like that. But most people who would are probably like me: young guys without a lot of money.

It doesn't matter as long as it doesn't cover your face. I have a couple of favs from South America who have naturaly curly hair but usualy blow dry it straight for work. I hate when the play the "do you like it better straight or curly" game with me. There is just no right answer when it comes to that question....it's the hair equivilant of "do these jeans make my butt look big?"
