    Music for a Referee Set

I'm getting a referee costume for football season , but I'm at a total loss for what songs to use for the sets. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Heres a few off the top....

"Blow my whistle bitch"I forgot who sings it,will post it at work on monday if someone cant fill in the blank. Its a good upbeat techno song, perfect for stage and pole work.
Thats what I would go with, just not often, the song gets annoying, but its perfect for a ref set.

    Centerfield by john foggerty.ehhhhhhhh its a stretch,but do-able.

There is a monday night football Cd with great upbeat songs from hank Jr and others, alot of good stuff on that cd for you to try out.

will try to think of more after a sassperilla or two.

For mine, I use hollaback girl and then just move on to regular songs. It's not a perfect fit, but works

I used to use that sports remix, where the guy starts "let's get ready to rumble!" and it goes through a bunch of fast early 90's tunes, lol. I wouldn't recommend that unless you have a really energetic show.

Also, just regular songs that they play at sports events- song 2 by blur, etc are good.

any signature songs of your local sports team. Don't know what's in WV but for Scarlett, U2's "Where the Street's Have No Name" (Vancouver Canucks intro) could work.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I forgot to list in my first post that the reason I was having problems was because I am also having a football uniform made to match the local university (also my school) and I used all the local songs on it.

Yes, use Scarletts advice. Gwen Stefani "Holla Back" that song is nice!

"Blow My Whistle" Is by Dj Alligator Project...

I would also try some of the songs from Jock Jams, any of those peppy uptempo ones.

"Blow My Whistle Bitch" is one of those songs that makes my ears bleed. And, if the truth be told, the one or two times I have played it, when I looked around at the crowd there were people making faces and plugging their ears. Not good! Anyhoo, I have a girl with a ref outfit and she does mostly Jock Jams rock stuff, and I might throw in some of the sportcaster samples or something. I don't get "hollaback girl" either, but hey if it works for you go ahead.

What's not to get? It's a sports-field type song- they play it in intermissions, cheerleaders dance to it...

As Mr. Christopher said, find the "Jock Jams" CD - has all the songs they usually play in sporting arenas - like Gary Glitter's "Rock & Roll Part II", 2 Unlimited's "Get Ready For This", etc.

Another song that has a sporting connotation (though more like a cheerleader than a referee) is "Be Aggressive" by Faith No More (the chorus goes "be...aggressive...b-e aggressive...b-e-a-gg-res-sive").
"Women, not girls, rule my world" - Prince

"No parking on the dance floor" - Midnight Star
