Smaller portions of the "good stuff" (high calorie items) and bigger portions of the healthy stuff (greens, fruit, whole grains, teas, soups).
The best part about dieting is that your stomach will shrink over time from eating less. Eventually you will need less food to feel "full." And some foods that are bad for you won't be as appealing (ex: I refuse to eat white bread, processed meat or drink sugary soda.) The lighter alternatives are so much more flavorful and pleasing to eat, so "junk" food starts looking like garbage.
You have to excersise frequently too, to keep your metabolism and muscle tone up. Make working out part of your day, like brushing your teeth or watching the evening news. Buy a set of free weights so you can work out while sitting around.
Congratulations on your weight loss and don't give up, it will take time but your body will get to a point where it is used to being a certain healthy weight and stay there.

Cut out all fast food. You'd be amazed what this alone will do. I mean NONE. And if you have to have fast food, order off the kiddy menus...

I cut out all fast food, all sugar and lost close to 30 pounds (I wasn't overly heavy to begin with.. just solid.. I was 148, and am now around 120ish)... I also took up running.. and when I have a sweet tooth, I reach for strawberries, yogurts etc...
    Drink lots of water too.
    Good luck.

    Amen.

    Amen.

Reducing if not outright eliminating all processed food will do wonders for so many aspects of your body. Additionally, it allows your body to achieve a more stable, predictable metabolic rate.

You might even try the South Beach diet. My mom did it and lost close to 20 lbs. in a couple months. She said that the first two weeks were hell because you go through withdrawls from sugar and starch. I used to like baked potatoes, but now instead of all that gross starch I bake a sweet potato instead and sweeten it with low fat margarine, Splenda and cinnamon. It's way better for you and even tastes like a dessert!! Another tip would be to cut back on red meat a little and replace it with oven baked lemon pepper salmon, it only takes about 20 minutes and is SO good!

Also a brisk evening walk or bike ride around your neighborhood after dinner is always a nice relaxing way to burn off some of dinner's calories! Hope this helps!!

Girl! I know metric system too! 5'7" and 50kg is like (for those kg unfamiliar) 5'7" and 110 pounds. That's Kate Moss skinny. That's very hard to maintain because it's underweight. Most people have difficulty keeping such a low weight because the body rebels when kept too thin (it can lower the immune system). Try more like 53 or 54kg, which is about 120- at 5'7" and 120, that's Angelina Jolie svelte. That's easier to maintain.
