Default never danced, how to start?

hi everyone, i'm new here. i am moving to south florida, and i was seriously considering dancing. i dont know which club to go to, i am planning to go to several in the area and case them out, ask the dancers there questions....is that okay to ask them to feel the place out? i don't know what questions to ask, really. anyone got any advice, any questions that would help me choose which ones to try to audition or whatever but not offend any dancers or anyone. should i try an amature night first? im pretty much clueless about the whole starting out process...are all auditions the same, will they tell you what you need (certain clothes or whatever), or are we supposed to already know?also, i dont have big boobs, if i go into a club and all the girls have boob jobs, should i scratch that one off my list? i have millions of questions, so any info would be appreciated.

You can do an amateur night if you feel like trying to make some super quick cash. Or just go for the "audition." If EVERYONE has implants and you don't, you could possible create a niche for yourself, that could be a good thing. Certainly feel free to ask questions. Maybe some things you might like to consider are things like schedule requirements. Are you free to come and go? Are you required to work certain nights? What is the stage fee & tip out? What are the contact rules? Do you keep all your lap dance money? How often does vice visit? Do you need certain items like booty shorts or latex?

All auditions are NOT the same. Have fun!

Exactly what LSM said. I went to my first club yesterday and was brutally honest in my level of experience. Just suss out which dancer seems most approachable and ask her of her time for a moment. Ask the most pressing questions and you'll find that the dancer will be most obliged to help you. It also gives you an idea of why she has chosen to do it and you'll get a feel for the club and politics.

    Good luck.

this was very helpful for me too when i started out.

and don't worry about not having big boobs... i don't either and it has never caused me a problem... i work at a club where the majority of girls have implants and at first i felt a bit inadequate! now i just enjoy the many compliments i get on my "perfect natural breasts"... pretty much all guys just love boobies, no matter what size they are.

    good luck with everything

Read the info for newbies at the top of this forum; it has some information on looking for and checking out clubs.

There are three basic types of auditions.

    1) The amateur night. Sometimes filled with experienced dancers, especially if there's a nice cash prize. In most cases, where you place doesn't matter, they just want to see how you look. They will then offer you a job if they want you to work there regardless of how you did.

    2) The solo audition. You'll put on your stage clothes, and one of the managers will watch you do a song or two on a side stage.

    3) The walk-in. You walk in and talk to the manager and they eyeball and hire you on the spot.

And there's really no correlation between the type of audition and the quality of the club. I've had to solo audition in crappy clubs and walked in in nice ones.

As far as specifics about dress codes, you really need to call the club itself and ask them, since this sort of thing varies widely -- anywhere from full nudity to pasties and bootie shorts to bikinis can be the what you'll strip down to.

    Good luck.

if you don't already know, a lot of clubs in south florida are known for very high contact. be sure that you can hang with that now, before you audition. and be very honest with yourself as to how much contact you're willing to put up with from the get go. this business isn't for the sqwimish (sp).

read as much as you can on this site too. this is a good place to start in finding out the inside scoop.

    good luck hun.
why do some people still have to fight to get the same opportunities that are given to others?

This may sound blunt, but there is no way to learn unless you get out there and start.
You can get all kinds of advice, read all you want, but unless you get out on stage, nothing will ever become of it. The first thing is , is to get hired, it don't matter where, experience is what you are after here. And the only way you will get it, is to get a job.
After you get a job, you will find out what the audience wants. Eventually, you will become confident and get better and better. Go for it!

Some answers from a male customer's point of view.

I suspect you'll be OK asking dancers questions, particularly if they know you want to be a dancer yourself. However, please bear in mind:

    (a) Many male customers ask the dancers exactly the same questions as you're going to ask, (although for very different motives.) Most dancers understandably get pissed off accordingly - they regard the questions as intrusive when they come from a man.

    (b) There is a stigma attached to dancing - there may be some questions that dancers react sensitively to.

Just be careful how you start the conversation.

Men's preferences as to what they think contitutes their ideal woman vary considerably. One man may walk into a club with a liking for small, natural boobs, another may like implants. Just regard it as the law of averages - some men coming into a strip venue may like your body type, and some won't

Just don't take the fact than a man doen't like your boobs as anything personal - it ain't. If you go into a conventional night club, do you fancy every man in the place to the same degree? It's the same for a man going into a strip club.

Finally, don't take the responses from any man on the "pink" part of the board as typical. Most men who post here are "dancer friendly" and trying to be helpful. The conversation on this board is also very candid about a dancer's main motive, ($$$'s). Few illusions here.

Most men you'll meet in strip venues have a very different view of a dancer's motive's - they think it's down to exhibishionism. You'll need to understand how the typical male of the species perceives "strippers" - and pander to his illusions accordingly.

    Good luck...

    Phil.

I would suggest before anything else that you visit a few SC's that you may want to try and get a feel for the clubs' layout, dancers, patrons, etc. Then do am night at one or a combo of them. You will more than likely be offered a job. Ask the club itself any club specific questions regarding am night, rules, clothing requirements, etc. Also, if you haven't already decided on a name, you might consider Phoenix. I noticed you are from there, right? I like it!

Posted too soon, lol. I also wanted to say that diversity is good since not every guy likes the same things. Many do not prefer impants and when a hottie like yourself is the only girl in sight without them, you are going to be their girl.

stripclublist.com is a good site with lots of info on like every single club
