    Default Houston laws

I was reading up on some of the posts, and I thought that Houston has a 3-foot rule, which means zero contact. Is this more guideline than law? I've talked to a couple strippers while shopping for shoes in the area, and when I told them that many states have no contact laws, they said that men were allowed to grope away in their Houston clubs. I was shocked, as this was a far call from my old clubs in Pennsylvania.

Also, if there are any Houston dancers, are you really required to sign up with city hall to get a stripper's license and wear ID as a means to curb prostitution? If so, isn't that public data? I retired when I moved to TX and have not been on the night scene.

I'm going through the forums, and I'm seeing a lot of resentment from the Houston dancers for being stereotyped as whores. I'm not asking whether of not the girls prostitute, I'm asking about the stripper laws. Just clarifying.

Go to the vice department and get a copy of the exotic dancing laws for Harris County.

Then ask the receptionist for the nearest restroom.

You can take a huge shit and use the laws to wipe your ass with them.

Houston is full two-way contact to say the least. If you are uncomfortable with that and uncomfortable with extras going on around you, don't even bother starting back up here for work.

Good advice in general. Papering bird cages, origami, packing material, and improvised rain hats are among other appropriate uses.

Looking for "the law" instead of "the laws"? Well, in the words of a very celebrated lawyer and politician:

"Sometimes 'is' doesn't mean 'is'..." -- William Jefferson Clinton.

LOL! That's definitely one of the funniest things I've seen you write. The Gold Cup in Houston has all the "rules" written out on a folded up sheet on every table in the main part of the club...they are very much largely ignored. I keep meaning to steal one...

Hehehe, I'd love to get a copy! I'll have a friend who goes there regularly snag one for me.

The funniest thing about the Gold Cup is the "head room." It was named that because of all the trophy animal heads along the walls but I think everyone here can figure out the double entendre.

I occasionally hear of the 3 foot rule in Houston from non SC patrons. A lot of guys use this as BS to their wife "I just go to the club to hang with the guys from work;" Everyone in Houston who goes to SC knows its full 2 way contact here. I think a lot of the gals enjoy it as much as the customers. If a stripper is not into contact then Houston is not the town to her as her competition is. This can vary from club to club and depends on the stripper. Some will put their boobs in your face to suck, feel the guys dick, etc. I like clubs where there is privacy in the VIP section ewg. I try to get a feel for what the gal will allow but like to get to know her first over a couple of drinks (I am interested in getting to know her as a person, what she thinks before I feel her body in a lap dance), letting the desire build before I take her to VIP. I try to be a gentleman about the whole thing and respect her rules. I do not feel in the g string area as I believe this type of activity is for OTC private sessions. Of course my money is going to gravitate towards the more uninhibited dancers who are into full two way contact <grin>. I tell the bigger gals to go easy on my dick as one rather heavy gal last year sat on it during some very close dances and it hurt for a couple of weeks but I got over it and never had the problem again. Some gals will really grab u down there (talk about two way contact LOL) and I have to tell them "be gentle there, thats a penis not a gear shift lever." The more experienced dancers do not have to be told this and offer a "safer" dance. Just watch out for the bigger gals who try to sit in lap and do dances like your some kind of drill team stool. Its a great way to get to feel their tits but you might say "honey I am sensitive there so please don't sit on it."

Wow, I'm glad that I retired when I moved down here. I wouldn'y be able to take it. Some guys in PA would try to get around the laws by pretending to give us massages, but I didn't allow it.

Still, what about the ID tags? Do you Houston dancers wear them around your ankles? What info did you submit when you applied for your licenses (SS#, phone #, address)?

Derek, instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money on something you should be getting for free, why don't you slip a few bucks towards the Heifer Project or American Red Cross?

ID tags have our photo, stage name, and a number assigned to us by vice. The ones with personal information are kept hidden by the club.

I usually wore mine around my ankle. When I go back there to work though, I am just going to do full bottom and latex though.

Why, Kat, that is the most vile and disgusting thing...like ever!

As for the ID tags, some of the gals seem to be wearing these specialized leg bands. Some were wearing them around their thighs or their calves. It was really weird and a bit distracting...

Practical interpretation of Houston's 3-foot rule:

"Dancers that fail to get within 3 feet of the customer during a lap dance will not be dancing in Houston very long."

Laws are meaningless in Houston. The only time they apply is in visible areas which the club management can visibly see. Stage laws are strictly followed. What goes on in private areas in the popular clubs carries the Sgt Schultz motto, "I see nothing and say nothing".

If vice comes in, whomever gets caught giving contact or more likely giving extras will be busted.

I worked in Houston for 13 months. Every customer does not require a hj, bj, or full service. Many will be cool with a full contact dance, but one definately has to compete with the girls who will provide sexual release, and it can affect earnings.

Every dancer does not "put out", but all are in violation of the ludicrous 3 foot laws. No dancer ANYWHERE in this country could sell dances 3 feet away from a customer, could they?

There are MANY markets where laws are on the books but not followed. The markets where the clubs enforce the laws to the letter are the ones where the clubs can be shut down or lose their liquor license if violations occur.

In Houston, after the random raids occur, the handful of girls who are busted are taken to jail, and then it's business as usual in the club, with an air of caution by thegirls to customers they don't know.

I stopped working there because, there are too many girls to compete with, and the spirits above guiding me to some how go to work late or not be on the floor when busts occurred.

Licensing is required in the clubs within the city of Houston. St.James , Houston Dolls, and Heartbreakers require no dancers license, just a Texas ID or drivers license.

Police are on a mission there to "make it look like" they are cleaning up the adult oriented businesses. Some major spa owners have been shut down, as the conservatives are pressuring city officials to change Houston's image as far as sex businesses go. A lot of bribing goes on by constables to club owners. As one club owner told a manager, " You know ****, we haven't been bothering you guys lately. But we've to show some busts, so we have to take some of your ladies in to show we are doing our jobs." So some club management is made aware that vice will be in, and the girls in good with the proper club personnel will be warned to be on their p's and q's. And certain clubs who aren't paying off properly or who pissed the cops off will get raided more out of spite. One club I worked at never was raided. The club paid the cops off to stay out. One of our managers was even pulled over after work, and I heard the cops (who happened to be chilling out in VIP) tell him, "You know we made your ticket disappear, right"?

That's how Texas works. many of the officials have had their roll in the hay with the escorts and their lap dances with the dancers, but when it comes down to keeping their jobs will bust clubs and raid and shut down the same spas they patronize to save their jobs. somehow the girls they have "been with" are saved.

Houston as you know is a tough city, and they are wasting their time.

Haha, I assume that those clubs have no standards other than prohibiting girls with full-body herpes or bubonic plague?

    DON'T DO IT GIRL!!!
Stay the hell away from those places unless you enjoy getting your nipples bitten and giving handjobs and blowjobs to strange men.

You would do ok the first few times without extras, but it won't last. My final night there I barely walked out with $275 after fighting off pervs all night. That is very poor earnings for me.

HoDos....well, the name says it all. Plus the cops love to bust these two places.......

But if you ever go there, let me know, I have a friend who works there who will be nice to you and I know the dealers there too because you pretty much have to be doped up to handle the bullshit.

    LOL katrine
I've been to HD's as a custy and it was OK but the booths were a little creepy. They could have at least fixed them up a bit to make them look less seedy. (beside the point, i know)
