I haven't danced with many dancers that were over 40, but I met one in CA that had just turned 40 and I would've bet money that she was just turning 30 instead. As long as you take care of your body in your 30's, dancing shouldn't do any more damage than any other career.... it may even be better since you pay more special attention to keeping it up. I know a dancer who's been at my club for 8 years - she's 36 and still looks great...she has two kids (one is two years old) and her body still looks tight. She does a lot of yoga.
That is fabulous, you are my new mentor!!! My son is 14, I would love to think I could still do this if I so choose when he is 30!
