    Default my new house

I've been in it for half a year, so I think it's time to show off the house stripping bought....I'm so proud! 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, finished basement....so much room for me and two dogs and eight ferrets

I should spend more time in here....

I'm still working on the whole "furniture" thing

if you wondered where I keep 8 ferrets, this is what I did to one of the bedrooms(nevermind the nosy dogs)

    It's beautiful Emily!

I love the color of the walls in your living room(?)! I've never had the balls to paint anything such a rich color, but it looks fabulous with your fireplace.

yea, you are right that I need to mow the lawn!

And thanks, but I didn't do it dark red. Someone else before me did and I like it too. I don't know waht that room is called. It's weird how houses now have living rooms, family rooms, media rooms and dens....I think it's a conspiracy with the furniture companies. Eat in kitchen AND a dining room? Come on!

But I learned my lesson that this is what you need for resale. My old house didn't have all that and it was stuff people wanted.

Not bad at all...Hardwood floors, recessed lighting (and a fireplace) in the living room, bay window, stone exterior and a single car garage - not to mention the nice touch that the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen add, along with the marble kitchen top.

Plus rockin' the Lexus RX - MUCH respect...

Talk about motivation to go to work, and hustle hard! I love your house, it's beautiful!

Owning a home is great - although mine is a maintenance nightmare but its all worth it in the long run . I really like the design of your home - I just painted a room wall red yesterday I was going to post so everyone could see if they liked it !

Thank you! This is actually my 2nd house. The first one was a cheapo "fixer-upper". I did do a little to it just to keep it livable, but it was a huge project after another. it was 125 years old and I don't think anyone had done anything to it in my lifetime.

I bought it for 64,000, put 10,000 in repairs into it (replaced roof, heating and electrical systems) and with some help of regional appreciation, was able to sell it for 115,000.

I think that's the way to do it if you're starting out, like I was. I was able to put dancing money towards repairs and paying off the mortgage faster, so I had a lot of equity to take with me to the new house.

I wouldn't move up until I had enough to put 20% down on a house I wanted to be in for a long time. I can see myself growing old in this one. Plus I think it's something I can actually pay off before I quit dancing.

I think that will be such a thrill to look back at dancing as such a positive thing and have something so cool to show for it.
