    Yet another newbie saying hello!

    Hi everyone!

I'm currently a college student- I've been considering dancing "on the side" for a while now. I'm hoping to relocate close to Austin within the next few months, so I'm considering all my options now so I'll know what I want to do later! I've done the whole "real dance" thing- I was on my high school and college dance teams and danced as a Marshal Star (for a local jr. hockey team). I injured my knee really bad while in college (I guess from doing too many toe touches), and I've had to keep to real dancing (leaps, turns, toe touches, etc.) to a minimum. I still like to "shake my booty" and "get my groove on"- plus, I'm looking for something a little...well...different- so I'm thinking this might be an option for me.

I live with Mox, my jr. high school sweetheart, who is still somewhat shifty on the idea of dancing. I just joked with him and told him that HE should take up dancing for some extra cash! (Ha!) We've been together for 6 years now, and we consider ourselves "best friends." All that means is that he won't just let me win when we're playing Nascar on the PS2!

I have three ferrets (Bandit, Maverick, and Rocky) that are the little lights of my life! They always remind me that being really happy is NEVER a bad thing! I also have two parakeets (Marley and Ozzie), and a betta fish (Joe).

Gee, I didn't mean to write a novel! Oh well, nice to "meet" everyone!

There are only three pieces of advice I can give, and all are worthless:

    1) Never get in a cab where the driver is wearing prison coveralls and the passenger side airbag has already been deployed.

    2) Never fly an airline that prints the Lord's Prayer or the Last Rites on the airsickness bags.

    3) Never date anyone that you meet in a police lineup.
