MAC cosmetics offers a 30% discount for performers (ie us) and 40% discount for make-up artists. I told one artist what I did for a living and she insisted I sign up for the discount. To get the discount, I have to prove that I am a performer by supplying 2 of the following:
Composite Card
Business Card w/name and specific profession
Editorial Page w/name and credit
Union Card (haha)
Head Shot and Resume
Prof. License
Diploma/Certificate
Publication Masthead
Program/Press Materials w/name
Contract with Company
Reference of Employment
I spend about $600/year on MAC cosmetics for eye makeup. The $35 membership fee is nothing compared to what I will save.
Why didn't a MAC artist tell me about it sooner? ARGH!

I forgot about the mac discount...i should have posted it earlier.I've had it for a long time. All you need to take them are your hire papers and a business card.If you don't already have one you can make your own pretty easily or just go to a prient shop and have them print you out a sample.Samples are normally free or just a few bucks.
So does that sense of humor, tee-hee.
