    Default out of line?

Hey all. As you can see by my name I've just lurked here for awhile and read this site out of curiosity from time to time, which is all I really intend to do for the most part. I'm not really a "strip club junkie", though I do like them. I just came back from a club though and I thought it'd be interesting to post about this.

I was sitting on the end of the tipping rail. The girl coming out was one I knew gave a lot of bang for the buck, she actually went a little further than simply rubbing her breasts against your face for a few seconds like many. So naturally I pulled out a buck as soon as she stepped out. She went over to my side first.

To my suprise though, she then looked to the guy next to me and said rather sternly "And maybe you should consider doing that too, otherwise just go back there. There's a reason its called a tipping rail." pointing to the tables behind us. Then I got my deal. It was definately worth the buck but I couldn't help but see her as rather bitchy. A few seats down I saw her say basically the same thing to another guy.

I thought this was rather odd. First of all, this guy was not a complete non-tipper. He did rather sporadically, but he did it at times. She basically bitched him out for simply not pulling out a buck as soon as she got on stage. What's especially dumb about this is that not only is it ludicrous to except every single customer at the rail to tip every single dancer, at this club it is not possible. They are only out for two songs nad there is simply not enough time to get to every one. Maybe she was just having a bad night, but I thought it was pretty odd.

I do have a policy for bitchiness toward me though, if it ever happens, I'm boycotting her for the rest of the night. She's not getting a single buck. And repeat offenders will probably be permanently blacklisted for every other time I visit the club again. Luckily I have yet to run into any.

do you mean the the kind of stage mileage where it would help if a PL has a penlight strapped his ear?

I agree with her that its bad etiquette to sit up there and not tip, but you may want to remind her that the people sitting at the tiprail have no control over the stage rotation. If I did, 60% of the gals at my home club would not be dancing. I generally only sit up front when someone "tip-worthy" is dancing, and even then its merely to test if she's "lap-worthy".

I do have a policy for bitchiness toward me though, if it ever happens, I'm boycotting her for the rest of the night. She's not getting a single buck. And repeat offenders will probably be permanently blacklisted for every other time I visit the club again. Luckily I have yet to run into any.
But it did happen. Not directly to you, but it was close enough to you where you heard what she said (twice no less), and it put a pointless distraction into your enjoyment of her stage set. You can't control what the people around you are doing, so she shouldn't be resorting to that nonsense within earshot of you, much less using your tip dollar to make an example of somebody else.

I gotta concur with Punkster here. That sort of behavior, unless absolutely justified, falls under my "one strike and you're out" policy. Take the pre-emptive move now and cross her off your dance card.

Out of line? Yea, sure but it's a strip club, it happens and she might be a hot dancer even so.

Should it affect your buying decisions? Up to you. Depends on whether you are there to meet kind/nice girls, or to one who will turn you on. She might be a biatch, but she might aslo be good at what she does. Totally up to you but buy her goods or boycott her for you, not because you're going to teach her some lessons on how to behave.

I choose to sit at the tipping rail for a somewhat different reason. I may be antisocial, but small time chit chat bores the hell out of me. What's your name? Where are you from? Are you here on business or pleasure, blah blah blah. Yawn. And then there are those who come over turning up the hustle and find those types exhausting to be around. They don't give up, they don't get the message, no. Or they act all hurt, like you've just canceled the wedding. Its exhausting so I use the tipping rail as means to be given some breating room.

Of course part of the reasons is as doc said, a preview, to determine if she is lap worthy, but mostly it's because it's a way to avoid having to engage in boring chit chat and being hustled to death which is what happens if you sit in a chair away from the stage.

Now in some clubs sitting at the tipping rail is pointless because I will be hustled to death. But in others the strippers will more or less leave a guy alone if he is sitting there and tipping the stage dancers.

When I sit at the tipping rail I tip, not because the dancer deserves it, but because it's a reasonable business expectation, and maybe I'm a dumb ass, but I figure if I was up there doing the pole shit I would reasonably want to be paid for it. A dollar or two per dancer - peanuts when you consider how much I spend on drinks and LDs.

However, if I am being hustled by the other dancers when I'm sitting there tipping then guess what? I stop tipping. Then I figure it's a shark joint, every man (and woman) for himself, so screw it, if I can't even enjoy my drink while tipping at the stage then I'll just sit wherever I want.

One way or another, after I've had a couple of drinks and unwound I usually have had enough of the tipping stage and then I go make the rounds looking for girls that I want to buy LDs from. This works better for me then sitting there in the dark waiting for the girls to come hustle me.

There's almost always at least one or two or three bitchy girls around. IMO, they're usually the ones who aren't so attractive, which results in their being pushy/obnoxious with customers. When I see one has spotted me and is working her way over, I avoid eye contact and suddenly walk away just before she gets to me. Maybe some of them get the hint, I don't know. Also, after you've been in a particular club for a while, the dancers get to know who you're interested in and don't bother with you so much. For me there's very little "middle ground" as far as dancers are concerned.

I don't think I've ever had a really hot babe get overtly bitchy with me or seen her get that way with someone else. They're too happy with all that $ they're making by being beautiful and happy. Also, I agree with xdamage that even if she is a bitch, that doesn't mean she can't show you a good time. We all have bad days, and maybe the guy did something earlier that really annoyed her. Who knows. Nevertheless, it's definately a red flag.

As far sitting at the tipping rail, I generally reserve it for those who appear as though they have fave potential. Never really though of it as a safe haven from the hustlers.

There are times I want to say something but don't. I save my venting for here or for dennys after work with the other girls. I don't think you should be bitchy in front of customers. That's bad for business.

Ayup. But sometimes it just needs to be done.

All my guys here will recall that I do not suffer bullshit lightly. At this point, I don't see enough information with which to ascertain for sure that the gal was a bitch or rightly telling a loser Lookie-Lou leech to step and let a real man have a chance at the boob action. How long was he sitting there? Define "sporadically". How many girls did he allow to give him the up-close-and-personal treatment without giving a tip?

Xdamage has a sense of style and I like his approach; it is only a dollar after all. I don't see a problem with sitting at the tip rail and excluding a few girls from the tipping extravaganza, though. If she's not your type and her dance would put you to sleep then save your tip fund for someone else. On the other hand, for every jackass crowding the stage, spilling his beer everywhere and tipping no one, there is two other guys who wanted to tip but couldn't find space at the rail.

I don't dance for rail sitters anyway. There's always an assload of beer to shift out of the way first, there's an eight inch ledge which is too narrow to work on but wide enough to keep me a foot away from the customer and the seated customer sees what the guy who stood at the front stage got for his tip and complains that his wasn't as good. Dude, you're seated three feet below me and behind a ledge. What do I look like, the Bionic Woman?

Clearly it is architectually impossible to design a proper stage that allows me comfortable naughty-bits range to all my tippers.
