    Help with my dancing!!!

    Hi girls!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this website!! Is by far the best in every sense. I have learn so much not only about the business, but also on so many other areas that I am grateful I found it.

Well, my question is very simple. I have the worst coordination ever, and altough I am able to do the basic dancing moves, I definively need to improve my coordination. Is there any exercises, videos or tips anyone can give to improve this skill? I have a couple of dancing videos and I can usually follow the movements, but it just doesn't look right when I do them. I can't make it flow like the girls in the video, and I look stiff and spastic when I go from one move to the next one. Any advice??

Thank you so much in advance!!!

    1) Relax, it might help a bit
    2) Practice, practice, practice
    3) Find a coach - because it's unlikely anything you read is going to help you with this issue
    4) 1 & 2 are probably covered by 3, but I'm trying to be helpful anyway!

This book has been recommended several times over on this site, and I've personally given it as a gift to many a new dancer....

    http://www.sfactor.com/

The book has some basic floor work, pole work, exercise, and stretching techniques in it.

You can buy it online from e-bay & amazon or you can find it at Borders and Barnes & Nobel under the health and fitness sections. Look for where they sell the books on yoga.

    Best of luck.

I second the idea of the s-factor book. I think someone even said they found it at their library.

I third "S-Factor". also, get some cheap mirrors and set them around your room and practice your floor moves. Whatever you do.. whatver move... point your toes as much as you can in those shoes. It makes everything look more elegant.

Try something extraciricular like yoga or just strech out.
