Has anyone used Pimsleur? I want to learn French and I'm thinking about buying their comprehensive CDs. Everything on Amazon says it's a great method, but I'm curious if anyone I know has had success w/this brand...

Haven't used it, but I have heard Pimsleur's are the best language cd's by far. Plan to buy the German one. Pretty much seems to be the consensus from everything I've read and everyone that I've talked to that that method is the quickest and easiest. And most thorough. Probably your best bet. Good luck with it.
Ya, Pimsleur rocks! Learned German and Russian that way...I've forgotten most of both of them by now, but I was almost fluent for a few months there, lol!
Seriously- they are the best. I use them before I go anywhere (even used the Gaelic one before goin to Ireland!) and they help immensely.
That said, the only way you'll get really fluent is by immersion.
Il y a beaucoup de personnes ici qui parlent francais- si tu veut pratiquer, poste en francais! (god I'm rusty).
