    Dressing room atmosphere

Does work atmosphere affect your hustle? Do you socialise OTC with the other girls?

The club I work at has a great friendly atmosphere but I have been to clubs where the girls are bitchy or there is a 'queen bee'. I think most of the girls have their heads screwed on. I have noticed some unstable girls though.

I personally couldn't work if most of the girls were bitchy. My club has for the most part really friendly girls and good managers... so it makes it a lot nicer and less stressful to work.

Well I've only worked at one club so far. When the manager introduced me to the girls, they didn't even break their conversation, look up at me, paid me no attention at all! But..I learned on SW that you come to work, not make friends. That is just what I did. I didn't speak, I got dressed, and hit the floor.

As the night went on, a few of the girls started to warm up to me. Towards the end of the night, I had one girl begging to hold my boobs in her hands cause these boobs, on my body, just seemed "unreal" lol

be careful who you make friends with OTC. It's bad for business.

Agreed. I'm mostly friendly but don't socialize OTC with the other girls. I sometimes overhear girls talking about each other and am wary of being gossip fodder.

The club I work at has a great core of very close friends. We're like one big family there... I love it. There's a lot of gatherings and stuff OTC, and we have a very tight support network amongst each other.

Its also good to have an atmosphere that is 79% nitrogen, 20% oxygen, and 1% other gases. That helps in breathing and other life-sustaing processes. You should check your dressing room for these qualifications.

My best friend works at my club with me. But I find if we work together, we actually end up distracting each other from working, as opposed to helping. The other girls, I get along with but am not super close with. But management and everything makes me even more stoked to work because they always get excited when I do well.. which makes me WANT to do well!

The only thing that disrupts me is when girls (usually new girls) get really drunk and try to make out with me or get all rubby lovey on me. It really annoys me, when I'm trying to work, and tends to put me in a cranky, stand offish mood.

I try to get out of the dressing room when the girls are out the back whinging and carrying on. The "downer" can be catchy!

There always seems to be the same girls doing it - makes me wonder why they are still dancing. ??

I don't don't think the atmosphere of the dressing room realy effectets my hustle. I will say i never made freinds at the club i worked at until the end of my stay at the club and i got nervous the other girls would started drama within our friendship. I was not very well liked in my club but i neverd coused drama with the other girls.

Paige is the exception here! I worked 3 different clubs all my adult life pretty much, and every fuckin fight seemed to start in the damn dressing rooms!

Don't expect the ladies (many anyway) to be nice, and don'e take it as personal, they are there to make $$$$. I mean alot of dancers think you just broke in on their bank....And at times this is true. So if a dancer seems rude, or to herself, let her be. Super friendly..Hmm i don't like that either.

I stayed to myself, and was the top earner i all 3 clubs i worked. At least i would like to think that!!!!! I was happy with the money made nightly!

PS just watch you're butt....SO many so called friendships go bad over this job.

I have suffered from dressing room mood kill before , yes.

I prefer to be one of the first dancers on shift and get ready and be on the floor before most of the rest of the crew arrives.

I like to have a drink and small chat with the bartender and sort adjust for a song or two before I start my hustle.

I try to stay out of the dressing room as much as I can stand.

I prefer clubs that allow me to carry a tiny purse on the floor b/c it keeps me out of the dressing room.

The purse allows me to have all the thing I go to the dressingroom for (except costume change ofcourse). I carry a ting comb, breath strips and lipstick in there and I can just go to the restroom instead of back in the dressing room.

I never carry my money in those litle bags, lol, that stays on my leg at work

i dont hang out backstage. Its just a place to change nothing more, The girls who hang backstage and get into drama are the ones not making money.

I never let the backroom stuff bother me. It never seemed to effect my hustle. When I first started dancing it would though. Maybe I just got used to it and have heard it all so it just rolls off my back.

Last year I worked in a club where 90% of the girls were very bitchy with the new ones... it took me something like 2 months before I could talk with most of them.
I don't like to hang arround in the dressing room but it's nice if your collegue exchange some friendly words.

I don't make friends with anyone at work. I have lots of friends OTC who aren't strippers and I hang out with them. Most of the time in the dressing room the girls are bitching anyway. Girls have asked for my number and invited me to hang out but I never do. I don't care if they think I'm a bitch. It's a job not a social gathering.

I have one amazing girl at work. We talk OTC, and even stay together sometimes when we go to the club. She is the exception I think. I don't really socialize w/ anyone else that much. I also try to avoid the dressing room, cause Im not making $$$$ sitting on my ass. I don't really trust a lot of the girls that I have met.
