    Default Being nervous again!

Hi! I haven`t danced in a while(since Christmas)and I am going to audition at a new club tommorow night. If they hire me I will start Friday night. I only danced for two months(ever) but had to quit soon after I started because of kidney problems. Now I am SO nervous again like I have never done this before. My stomach hurts when I think about it. But I know I will be fine after a few hours! Any suggestions of how to get over being so nervous? Drinking always helps but I don`t want to be drunk while working and I do not wish to get a D.W.I while driving home! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I've found just plowing through the first half hour of it works the best... MAYBE a drink, but then you'll always need it. You'll get back into the swing of things in no time.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I've danced for 5 years. I always get nervous. For me, it never goes away. Drinking a lot of water helps, as does calling a friend who makes you laugh. Get to work a little early to get over it a little before you start your shift. Find the 'nice' manager or the 'nice' DJ who will say, "Sweetheart you look great. Go get em'." And, also...

Sweetheart you look great. Go get em'.

Drinking is not the way. You cant stay on your toes and your dancing may get sloppy. Id suggest not having a quota in mind for the first few days. Go in, get to know all the people again, make a friend and build up your confidence. If you cant confide in any of the other entertainers to help in you just go be cute and shy with the men. Alot of men with cash like a shy girl BUT REMEMBER TO BE CUTE! It works well with that one and you may even think about that being your identity there.

Just think about it this way: The guys would be staring, honking their horns, making cat calls at you outside of the club, so you have nothing to worry about. They're there to see naked women, which is you, so go get 'em. The girls are the worst... They're going to be bitchy and whatnot (generally), but you're not there to make friends (that's why you're here ).

nervousness sucks, not sure what to tell you except, you've done this before, you know it's not that bad (even great some times). Try logic and reason, and when those fail, just laugh at yourself. what's the worst that can happen in front of a group of strangers?
