I am so stressed out, I don't know what to do. I just finished my real estate class and will be testing for my license in September, and 2 weeks ago I was offered a position as a mortgage loan officer 30 miles away from my home. I saw the job as a great opportunity to get some experience in the industry as well as a way to possibly make good money. The job pays minimum wage plus commission and I was told that typically new loan officers don't close any deals within their first month meaning I would likely be stuck on minimum wage for a while. I work from 7am to 4pm, but it takes me an hour to travel each way, and since gas is so high, it's costing me about $70/wk just to get there! Obviously I have to dance until things pick up at the office but its stressful. I get off at 4pm, get home around 5/5:30, then work from 8pm to 2am, then turn around and wake up at 5 to leave home by 6 and do it all over again! I'm often so tired from working 9 hours/day and traveling 2 in traffic that I don't make much money at night, meaning I have to work more nights to bank. Then I'm so tired from working at night that I can't focus at the office in the day! I'm thinking of quitting but I feel that that may be the weak, easy way out and that if I just keep going and trying my best, this will eventually pay off and I won't have to dance at all anymore. The other part of me, though, feels that if I have to dance every night to earn a decent living anyway, and I'm only getting paid $295 per 48 hrs. of work at the office, I should just quit this phoo-phooey job that is taking all my time, money and energy, and wait until something better (or at least closer) comes along. Help!!!

. But when I worked at a club that closed at 2 the mgrs would work w/ my schedule (hopefully they can w/ u?) Like can you work 6- 12am instead or leave a little early?? You have to plan ahead and take your dance clothes w/ u to your day job. Other than that just work on Fri and Sats if you're allowed at your club. I know is stressful and you'll definitely need to make some adjustments because this new job sounds demanding and it's going to require your mental energy. If your club can't be flexible w/ u I suggest you look for another one. Good luck!
