Default When is the Hustle overdone

OK. So as a SC goer i would say i would fall in the upper half of big spenders but def not a whale. Last night i went to Privledge in NYC. It's not crowded but there was a pretty big bachelor party going on. A few girls come by and ask if i want a dance and i turn a few down and get a few dances. One dancer who caught my eye was really cute. I got a dance from her and then decided to go to the VIP room. The vip room costs $300 for a half hour. I figured the girl gets half. Overall the mileage in the club i would say is medium to high (i've heard of extras). So she starts her dance and immediately asks me for a tip. No big deal here is $20 but I usually like to tip at the end. She laughs and says she wants a $100 tip. OK not really what i want to spend but i give it to her. Of course i am thinking high mileage (don't really care about the extras) not expecting anything crazy.

The f'ing girl basically just sat next to me and yapped away. When she danced she would dance in front of me (like a table dance). Ok there was a little grinding and soft petting but not enought to keep the blood flowing.

Question: At what point does is the hustle overdone. I understand we all need to make money but am a firm believer you pay for quality. the way I look at it is that yeah she milked me for $400, of which I am not happy about, I feel like she over hustled. In the long run does that really pay off? Obvioulsy she misses out on my repeat visits for now on.

    Sorry so long.

I'm a shitty hustler. I like to romance customers, I find I see them a lot more that way. I may not make the most $$$ at my club, but I make the most consistant money. On the shifts when all the girls who hustle are complaining about how slow it is I usually see at least one of my regulars and have a decent day.

I'd say it's overdone when you can recognize it as a hustle.

Afterall, "it's the slow blade that penetrates the shield".

And, save the tips for after the dance, unless you're from (I didn't check the location) one of those places that still employs the ancient version of the tips concept, as a way "to insure proper service" rather than as a way to reward good service.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

It certainly paid off in the short-term, now didn't it. Doesn't sound like she was going to get your repeat business anyhow.

Yeah, you got hustled. The trick is that you didn't seem to realise this until after the fact. Therefore I have to give her kudos and remind you to be more cautious next time. Caveat emptor.

If you knew you were being"over- hustled" why did you play into it? You could've tipped her at the end as planned and then decided whether she warranted a 20$ or 100$ tip or somewhere in between. I understand that you were probably wanting to be a nice guy but there are polite ways to let a dancer know that your'e not gonna fall for her sh*t but would still like to be entertained.

I don't know how it is in that club, but in my club we don't keep any of the money that you pay to get into vip. Our share would be the 100 you paid for example. The club keeps the 300. At least thats how it works in my area.

Well girls, if you have any questions why so many of us are hesitant to go to VIP, or pay up front for dances, then here you go.

The sad part is that due to the small percentage of dancers who pull this stunt, all dancers suffer. I had an experience similar to Leebay's a couple of years ago in LV. Thankfully the monetary damage was comparitavely smaller, but boy did I sure feel like an ass. As a result of that, I see no need in the future to pay this kind of money (upfront no less) when I don't know what I'll be getting once I hand over my money, and there's no money back guarantee on these sort of things if I'm not satisfied.

Sadly speaking, this does not always apply in a strip club. There seems to be a tendency with some people to treat those generous enough to do business with them with predation rather than gratitude. The origin of this really lies with club management, who take an extortive cut of these VIP's to begin with, hence dancers asking for a tip.

she hustled an extra $100 out of me.
If she played her cards right and just did her job she could have got another VIP session outta me.

I guess i regret not screening her properly in the beginning. It was getting late and she was hot. If i had a little more time i would had a better chance of picking a girl i knew would be more fun.

I've never worked in a club that the dancer got in cut of the VIP fee, I think the waitress get a small cut.

I had a custy once think that dances came with the bottle of bubbly he bought.... ummm... think again....

Our club, VIP is 225 a half hour with the dancer getting 100 of that. We can charge more, if we want, and we keep the extra.

Being an 'honest dancer' *gasp*, I'm a firm believer in drawing more flies with honey than with, you know, the opposie of honet, or whatever. I do a lot of 'seeding' ie. playing it honestly, doing the best I can, and doing WHAT I can to make sure they get a return visit. I prefer consistency over two or three huge days, and where I'm at it definatly works for the better for me.

Leebay, how was the first lapdance from her before you decided to go into vip? Regardless, I think that sucks because you sound like a cool dude who is not trying to get the most for little money.

This is referring to buffies post? The club gets all the money the custie paid for the vip and you work off the tip? Other people are used to this as well? If the custie decides not to give a tip, that would mean no money at all for ya's?

I'm am 90% sure that the girl gets half. For some reason i remember a dancer telling me but I've been to so many it is all a blur now..haha

Are there any dancers here that work at Priveldge in NYC that can confirm? As a custy, it would be nice to know what the girls takes are. If the girls get nothing from the VIP room then I would be hesitant to even go back there. Might as well stay in the regular LD area, unless you are talking about extras..haha

As soon as the girl asked you for a tip, you were overhustled. She is a milker. Then when she acted like your $20 was shit and wanted $100, she became the rip off bitch.

She's the kind of dancer who hates guys, and sees how far she can get over on someone.

You should have kept your tip, realized the VIP session wasn't going to be pleasant, and just taken a loss.

if you ever have doubt about a dancers integrity, buy a dance or two on the floor in lieu of the VIP room.

I don't know how many gals here go hunting, but I do. And I know as a hunter, I don't go out and kill all the game on one outing. Because if you do, you can't go back to junt the game again.
Well, sir, it looks as if she done with you. She can't ever hunt in your neck of the woods again. It's a pity, too, because you sound like a nice place to hunt over and over. (No offense meant). If I was her, I would not have done that. I like to keep them coming back over and over.
As to the $300 vip room charge. I wish I was getting half. The place where I work, I don't even get close to making half. I get pretty good, but if I had gotten half, I would thought I died and gone to hog heaven. Thanks.

Next time don't be afraid to tell the dancer how you'd like her to perform for you. If she's not into it cut your losses. Some guys like a demanding chick. I actually witnessed a guy try to tip ten bucks and his dancer reached into his pile of cash at the bar and held up $50 and pocket it. The custy got a gleam in his eye and grinned. That was their weekly ritual! Different strokes my man!

I don't usually get tipped during or after a VIP, we get to keep 200 of the half hour or 100 of the 15 mins, we still get more than than the club.
I've been tipped, but I never ask for it, hell I am happy they bought that many!
I actually got tipped a 100 after a few dances (he paid for them first becaue he wanted to) and he was from New York, maybe he was so happy I didn't ask for a tip that he felt the desire to tip me... whatever it was, I hope he comes back..
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

    Leebay,

I used to work at Privilege. The girls get more than half. Out of the $300, they get $200. Of that $200, they must tip out the VIP host $20, so they end up with $180. If they're paid with credit card, they only get $180 and then, with the tip out, they are left with $160.

In other words, she hustled you for another 50%+ as far as what she was supposed to get.

If this ever happens again, alert the management. You're not the first customer she's done it to.
