look here
thanks! Not sure if I should be asking for them though. was happy with what id chosen but now im a bit confused!
Right having seen some pics of them Iv decided theyre not neccessary for me.

The rippling that they show in the picture...cant that be corrected by overfilling? I dont know why someone would get high profiles. I dont think they are bad in any way but if maybe they wanted to achieve a certain look.

Why do some people have like a 450 shell over filled to 525 etc? Why overfill, doesnt it make it more likely to rupture?

Mine are overfilled and I still get rippling because I am naturally really thin. I'd go for high profiles in the future.

If you overfill it won't be more likely to rupture it just will be less likely to get rippling.

high profile implants simply have a smaller diameter and more forward projection than standard shaped implants of the same cc rating. IMHO the only real value of high profile implants is for very petite girls (i.e. 30" or 32" bra band size) who want to go up 3 or 4 cup sizes, and who would otherwise run the risk of 'uniboob' with higher cc rated standard diameter implants. IMHO girls with a 34" or 36" bra band size who get high profile implants run the risk of winding up with a large gap between breasts due to the smaller diameter.
The #1 cause of implant failure is folds in the implant bag rubbing against themselves in the same spot - like folding a piece of paper in exactly the same place over and over again. Thus overfilling saline implants 15-20% not only removes bag wrinkles which are the underlying cause of rippling, but also extends the life of the implants !
Go to BA411 or Yes They are Fake - both wonderful websites for ba questions and pics on implants.
I just have the reg. Mcghan smooth under the muscle 600 o/f to 690 which puts me at a full DD (ore ba I was a 34B). I love being in boobieville! If you want to ask me any questions ask away![]()

I have a 32 -C bra size and want D's, so I'd be perfect for this. Any bigger and they'd be squished together at all times because my frame is so small.

Hi! I have high profile implants and I am getting them re-done next week to go larger. I love the projection that I have but they are not wide enough. I will be getting 700cc`s with the moderate profile implants. I have pics if you want to see. Apply to my msn group site and I will approve you!

Is there a price difference?
Also Whats the average price for a new set of boobs going for? I'm dying to get a pair and have just started shopping around.

Melonie is right, I am a 34" band size, and I have a pretty large gap in between my implants, I wish my doctor had told me this, because I wouldn't have paid extra for the high profile implants if I had known this before.Originally Posted by Melonie

At our center high profile and moderate profile are the same price. From shopping around at other facilities I know that prices can range from $3000 to over $10,000. As of this writing, we charge a flat-rate (pardon the pun) of $4800 for a standard breast augmentation using any approach (transumbillical, transaxillary, periareolar, inframammary) and either placement (subglandular, subpectoral) and our price includes all operating room fees in our outpatient surgery facility (in other words, there are no hidden fees) as well as our 24-hour recovery program.Originally Posted by Crissychan
Some surgeons charge operating room fees, anesthesia fees and other fees separately to keep their price looking affordable, so beware of low prices. Expensive does not mean better, it just means more expensive. Some surgeons do not have their own outpatient center and perform their operations at a local hospital. In this case, it is not uncommon for the hospital to bill you separately from the surgeons fees so look into that as well.
I don't want to stray too far from the question, but I do want to make sure that I hit a couple of important points:
Our breast surgeon has done over 5,000 breast augmentations, is board certified in cosmetic surgery and has been performing cosmetic surgery for over 20 years. I only say this because, some physicians such as dermatologists and even dentists can take a weekend course and call themselves plastic surgeons and begin operating the following Monday without any further training. This is scary. Make sure that your surgeon has undergone a lenghty fellowship training or is board certified in either plastic or cosmetic surgery or both. If you have a friend that has had surgery and received positive results with her surgery, then that's a great place to start with your search.
There are several informative forums on this site from many experienced patients. First and foremost is that you have the surgery for yourself and not for your spouse, career or any other reason. It is important to remember that you are electing to have someone intentionally injur your body and you owe it to yourself to do the proper research. For my second pair, i'm looking into getting moderate profile cogels. I'm a petite(5 ft. tall), 32 band width. And i'd like to get a little more projection to the front.
