Arrow Hypnotizing A Crowd - Yoga Practice

How many dancers in this community use Yoga as a way to increase flexibility and overall general health?

For those of you who do practice, what schools of training do you follow?

I have seen two dancers in my lifetime who use yoga/ contortionism in their routines- Flex from the East Coast, and Eris at the Northern in Fargo, ND.
I choose not to, I feel the potential for injury onstage is too great.

Im not a dancer but I do Yoga and Pilates and it has helped with my flexability. I love the Windsor Pilates - shes a goddess!
It would be very interesting to see a dancer use yoga/ contortionism with their routine. The next time Im in a "real" city Ill have to check out a good club.

I love yoga it makes the body so flexible and it feels good to stretch muscles. I add it to my fitness routine I feel like it powers the mind and body. I do add a few simple yoga moves to my stage dancing just to show customers how flexible I am. So maybe then they would say wow she is so flexible I have to get a dance from her ...

I practice Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga. I love them both.

    I also practice Pilates.

While I never did them, per se, on stage...they've all helped me keep my flexibility while I was dancing...and even now, that I'm not.
