    Exclamation Summer colds and flu

Well, sad to say, my neck lymph nodes are tender and I have been feeling icky. It seems like a bad year for colds and flu.....what's worse is CA is baking hot so I'll be HOPING for chills and sweats!
Do some of our homeopathy-friendly posters have some treatments to recommend? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to hear about your cold. Another member recommended Cold-eeze to me a while back, I swear by it now. I suggest picking some up and also taking lots of Vitamin C.
    Hope you feel better soon..

Right on, thank you both. I am drinking Sprite and having more Vitamin C & L-Lysine.

I'll hit GNC or the health food store soon and post some product recommendations later.

    Himalayan Goji Juice

Even tho' I do sell it - I swear by it. All I do is "up" my dosage from 2 capfuls a day to 4 or 6 capfuls a day.... and everytime I have recovered from a cold/flu within days (3-4 days).

It works better than anything else I have ever tried and I've tried alot as I really do not like being sick.

Otherwise, cranberry juice is better than OJ for Vit C... as well as adding ginger and garlic to your foods as they have health giving properties (help you be well).

I drink a lot of water and take Ester-C tablets. And try to get a *LOT* of rest. The rest is key though...sometimes I take a Tylenol PM to knock me out if I'm not feeling good just to make sure I get a good, solid night's sleep, and it works!

^ A good night's sleep will definitely help.

LOTS of WATER!!! Plus maybe a hot tea, don't know if you smoke but if by chance you do, STOP!!! Or a least cut back... I am really going to f*ck up the spelling but try Echinacia. Oh, and drink some green tea (real green tea, not the fake soda brands).

If it's a cold you feel comming on use Zycam. It's a gel form of zinc that you squirt in your nose. The membranes in your nostrils absorb zinc better than your digestive system. It's the only OTC product proven to reduce the duration of the common cold. That shit rocks, I don't know how I lived before it. Don't mess around with the fancy "sinus" formulations, they don't work, just get the original one for colds.

Just remember you don't snort it, burns like crazy if you do. One squirt in your nostril and press down for 5 secs then repeat on the other side. Let it absorb for a minute then blow your nose. If it's a flu, I got no advice for you other than the usual stuff...

I bought Oscillococcinum Homeopathic Medicine (made by Boiron) at GNC for about $13. They claim it's "Nature's # 1 Flu Medicine." The active ingredient is "Anas barbariae hepatis et cordis extractum".......I know, way too much to figure out with an illness-weakened mind. It works pretty well though.
