    Default Sentimental Value items

What are some items that are so valuable to you, you would grab them if the house was on fire? $$$ value is negligible.
Mine- a cookie/candy jar from my dad's late boss- he was a good man and died a year after he gave it to us. It was a Christmas present to us kids after my parents divorced. In fact, I'm naming my future son after that guy.
My kid brother's teddy bear- he treasured it when he was little. I would cry if anything happened to it. It's in the hope chest.

The things that I thought I'd want-- my brothers handwoven bag, pics of my family, books etc. would probably get left behind to burn.

I closed my eyes and tried topicture what I'd keep, and I just can't imagine trying to save anything excpet myself and my mate.

    Pictures.

I could leave all the other stuff behind. I would want to see my moms face again (she died in 2003 at age 53 of breast cancer, I was only 32). I would want to see all my kids as babies (got 5) they grow too fast and it makes it hard to remember without the photos.

Other then my family it would only be pictures. Of course, I think the dog would want us to think of him too.

    After the dogs, right?
Hmm, I actually think that as long as my girls go out all right I could care less about anything else. Everything else I could do without and not bat an eye.

Besides my dog and BF, I'd say my designer handbags and Kangol hats. They're like tatoos to me, each peice comes with a memory.

Pictures - thankfull they are all mostly in one big box so I could just grab and dash - my immigration info and passports, and all the Kewpie dolls my Mom has collected for me over the years. Well, I probably couldn't save them all but I'd definately try! ;-)

I guess I'm not very sentimental.

Well, of course my dog isn't an "item" so it's a given I'd grab her. Then pictures and my computers (which have pictures AND work on them) and my jewelry box. I have a lot of jewelry that was my grandmother's, aunts, etc. then I'd start grabbing clothing and handbags though maybe not for sentimental reasons. I do have one coat that is my mom's I might grab for sentimental reasons. I was so excited when she gave it to me a few years back. I have memories of her wearing it when I was little and used to think she was so beautiful in it.

Ok, here's what I would make sure to grab:

    1. My ferrets (I'd just throw them in a bag for easy carrying)
    2. My birds (I'd just take the whole cage, or let them fly if need be)
    3. Mox's guitar (He's be heartbroken if I didn't grab that)
    4. Any photo albums I could get to
    5. Anything else important I could grab (things from grandmothers/great-grandmothers, my parents, Mox, etc.)

After the wife and dogs ( depending on the day not necessarily in that order lol ) I would be in the garage pulling out cars and Harleys - most of the other things are in a fire proof safe ! Its a guy thing ! lol

I have a fire proof safe.. all my pictures are in a big store and tote.. my wedding ring never comes off unless I'm cleaning or in the shower.. my pictures, my family (no pets right now)... that's all that matters.. pictures are the story of someone's life.. I'd hate it if I couldn't "remember" what my daughter looked like as a baby..

After grabbing the kids, husband, dog, pictures, etc... here's what's important to me...

    - My wedding band (it was my father's, he died 6 yrs ago and when I got married I had it sized to fit me)
    - My grandfather clock (my great, great grandfather was a carpenter and built it in the 1800s)

    Everything else can be replaced.
