tjanddani i'm on vegporn.com, and i'll be on eroticred.com when it goes up.

and neve, bikinigirl, if you don't consider yourselves "stick figures" why do you think we are talking about you? there is an entire continuum of body sizes. some people are emaciated, some people are slender and muscular, some people are naturally curvy, and some people are overweight. if you are not emaciated, then you are not emaciated. some people happen to prefer curvier women, and some people are saying that they by far prefer curvy women to underweight women. this isn't an insult to thin women, it's just a matter of observation. you don't have to be a stick figure to be slender, and you don't have to be "overweight" to weigh more than 110 lbs.

and by the way, "making healthy choices for your body" does not gauruntee thinness, nor does being thin indicate that you are making healthy choices. many people are simply naturally muscular and/or wide set, and nothing short of consuming far less than their body requires will change that. and many thin people aren't eating helthy- they're elimating entire food groups, taking dangerous drugs like ephedra, or perhaps do have an eating disorder or a cocaine problem. why do you immediately assume that thin=healthy and not thin=unhealthy? my doctor says i'm healthier than she is. i have remarkably low cholesterol, perfect vision and hearing, excersise regularly, and eat well. who are you to decide that i am unhealthy? forgive me, but i think i'll listen to my doctors.

There are many thin women that are not healthy. When I say unhealthy, I mean that their BMI can also be high. How thin you are does not equate to how fit you are.

BMI is an imperfect measurement for both thin and curvy women alike. it measures weight against height, but has no way of taking into account the fact that lean muscle tissue weighs more than fat. a very athletic woman can be 5'1", 150 lbs, and still look very thin, because nearly all of her weight is muscle. however, according to her BMI, she would be technically be severely overweight, nearly obese.

What impresses me so much about animals is that they allow their brains to control their food consumption. If they're not hungry, they won't eat. If they're hungry, they'll eat. Rarely do I see an animal who has a weight problem.

Humans have an advantage. They can check their weight against what is "normal", and they can compensate.

The BIG problem with humans is they can "rationalize" their weight problem. Not only that, their "friends" will lie to them just to make them feel better. Unfortunately, those lies are hurtful in the long term. And in my view, a real friend will not allow their friends to hurt themselves.

I agree with the BMI being imperfect, you can go to any local gym and ask them to test your body through a series of skin measurements ( the evil little pinchers ), they will be able to tell you based on the body fat percentage if you need to lose or gain weight. Although I'm 5'8 and 145lbs @ 19% body fat and I look toned.... its unrealistic that any woman would be 5'1 & 150, female professional bodybuilders don't even compete at weights that high in ratio.

At 17 (a long time ago), right before I went in the Marines, I weighed 175 lbs at 5'2". Before I went to boot camp, I ran, and got down to 148 (I could've gone into the Air Force because I became qualified). Before I graduated boot camp, I was under 120 lbs, I looked relatively scrawny (but if you didn't see me when I was fat, you'd say I looked fit, and I was), but I was the healthiest I've ever been.

Right now, I still "jog" 4 miles/day, but unfortunately, I'm back to 170. Yeah, I'm fat.

Humans are social creatures. I don't think you can not go to a social function without food being involved. It's part of our cultures, so you can't really simplify it like that.

I left for PI at 119, 2 pounds over the minimum for my height. I left at 150. eventually getting up to 170 at k-bay.

whether there is food at a social function or not, you don't have to eat it.

Eek reading that muscle weighing more than fat thing made me remember my athletic hockey days..... I weighed like 160 at 5'7, and am still the same size now (5/6) after I've lost 32 pounds. -_-; Which means that fat has invaded my body haha. My ass is still the same impressive size as before though. It seems to be the one thing which my body won't eat.

Oh ya now back to the topic at hand...... Venus, you're a cute sexy chickie! Almost every guy I know personally likes a soft, feminine woman. (Not saying that slender ladies are any less soft of course!!) But ya know what I mean. My bf threatens me when I have my bloated days... I go, "I need to lose 20 pounds! (ya like I have the discipline, but its a nice thought haha) And he says, "If you lose any weight, I'll be sad..I love you just like you are." AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. As you all retch, I am sure you get my drift...and you know what? Just be happy with yourself. You're obviously confident and love your body enough to be on webcam so go girl!!! Dieting sucks. I've had eating disorders all thru college, and still have food issues, but thats not a great way to live. I'm very inspired by all the women who love their bodies out there! We only get one right? YAY

i agree with you completely, twotimer. it is amazing how much people can rationalize their weight problems. any anorexic you ask will tell you how fat she thinks she is. and if you wanna see something scary, go to a pro-anna site! bulemics convince themselves that the purging is the healthy choice, rather than digesting all of that binge, and chronic undereaters delight in the belief that as long as they have ribs showing, they're healthier and therefor better than everyone else. alot of people need reality checks.

as for fat animals, though, you obviously haven't seen the pets of the people i know!

and crissychan, you're probably correct that no women who is 5'1 and 150lbs would be pure muscle. but it is very probable that she could have a great deal of lean muscle, and far less body fat than most other people of her height and weight. that was my point.

Okay after week of carefully considering what to say and having been asked by numerous other sw members I will say that honestly you will do nothing but hurt your self esteem and waste your time if you decide to become a stripper in a club.

Here are the reasons why> The internet has access to everyone, and everyone means those that prefer heavier females. However in almost 6 years as a dancer or working at hooters I have noticed that guys do not want to frequent a woman who is heavy. I believe you will do nothing but harm to yourself by doing this. If you dont make any moneyyou will end up being very unhappy.

For what its worth youre kind of cute but not in the way that youll make money doing what we do. You can find your niche on the net and maybe do private parties, but I dont think anything more than that will be good for you.

I'm borderline overweight/high BMI at 5'3" and between 135 and 140, but at my "fattest" I wear a size 3, go figure.

Oh my gosh, you are absolutely adorable. Very pretty girl--I think you'd do well and will probably get hired somewhere. Hey, why not BURLESQUE?

My club has fired girls for being overweight, but they always did very VERY well despite their size. I don't know why my club did not keep them--and on top of that, customers still ask where they are! And I'm in Tanorexic California. I wish you the best of luck.

I dont know anything about the clubs in your area, but you are beautiful...every woman is beautiful, big, small, and everywhere in between...its all about personal preference and how a woman carries herself...check out some of the clubs in your area, and see the dancers. While your there, maybe take a minute to talk to the manager and just ask. The worse they can say is no right, and if that happens you just remember how beautiful you are and its there loss not yours...Lex

    Venus,
I think you would be fine. You are obviously not overweight. Remember that as you dance you will shape your body. Maybe if you are feeling like your not ready yet, buy yourself a pole and start out learning at home. It's a great way to get in shape so do it until you feel your ready for a sc performance.

Damn I can't believe how discouraging some of these posts are. I agree that it really does depend on the area. I'm a large dancer and I have been for the full two years that I have been dancing. My weight has yo-yoed between 150-189 at 5'7. You absolutely CAN get hired somewhere, it's just a matter of where. Not all bars that will hire you will be dives, but it's true you'd have a hard time with most upscale clubs. I've danced in BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Wisconsin, Florida, and now Rhode Island. The west coast is the worst for trying to be a large dancer. In Wisconsin there were girls BIGGER than you dancing and ya know what? They did alright. The only place I've ever had trouble getting work is on the west coast. You just have to go out to all the clubs in your area and audition. Chances are someone will probably take you. I've never found myself out of work. I agree with what one girl said earlier, over compensate! Make sure your hair, nails, and make up are absolutely perfect. Wether or not you can make money will depend heavily on your sales/people skills. As a big girl you definately have to over compesate with that too. Be aware that some girls will be bitches. The moment you make more money than a girl who is a lot smaller than you that girl and her little clique will all yell "She's doing extras!" Don't take it personally but some girls don't understand how girls they think are nasty can make money. It's not your problem to teach them, they are probably to stupid or too jealous to grasp the concept anyhow. I say go for it! If you can't get in anywhere, lose 20 pounds and try again. I sent you a PM with my e-addy so if you need any help/advice/support hit me up. I've been there. Hell I'm there right now, I'm dancing full time I'm 5'7 and I weigh 181. Whoop-dee-doo I still make money.
