I like money...
To start paying for college (I'm sure like so many others). School is done, and I'm still stripping, and enjoying it, thank you.
I like the freedom
I hadn't even discovered boys yet when I was thirteen. I weep for the future.i have always wanted to, ever since i was 13
I suppose I started dancing so that I could be a role model and inspirational goal to AIM-damaged teenagers. Just kidding(noI'mnot). No, really, I'm just kidding (noI'mnot). Okay, I'll stop poking sticks though the cage. I started because I needed the job, and that's my final answer, Regis.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Money and Freedom!!!!!!!! I'd really like to repeat that.. FREEDOM !!!!!!
i started stripping to rebel my home town. I was always the big geeky girls everyone made fun so it was kind of like look at me now all these guys want me and you did not give me the time of day when i was in school. It worked expect around my co workers not the men i was the geek of the club go figure i quess i am just a geek at heart. lol
Primarily, to pole dance...honestly.
The freedom plays a major part. The hours are highly flexible.
Nowadays, I would say the money keeps me stripping. The money I earn in working a few days a week tops that of other jobs I've worked for the same hours. On top of that, currently the money at my club is really good and I don't want to miss out!!

dream of curves and convergence

Originally, to keep myself off the streets...I mean literally, off the streets. Now, I'm putting myself through school and such--trying to start a retirement fund. The hours are great, the instant money is great, dancing and entertaining the crowds are great and I love my job.![]()

Why did you want to be a dancer ?

I am starting in january, to pay for university. I've sort of wanted to for a while anyway but my family would disown me if they found out. when I start college it will be on the otherside of the country so thats the other reason i am going to start!
I figured, that if I had to put up with guys hooting and hollering at me all the time anyways, I might as well get paid for it.

I had always been curious about it, but never explored it because "oh, I couldn't do that...that would be so wrong!". Finally, I decided I was miserable with my career path, and I said WTF...it's now or never. I'm not one who wants to regret never doing something I was interested in, when I'm older....So I gave it a shot...and fell in love with the stage. Yes, the money can be good too.....but I made the same kind of money doing other jobs...so that's not what keeps me. It's the stage and the poles. I'm a pole monkey, and I totally work the stage. I love the thrill of all the eyes on me and the fun that comes from making that flirting connection while I'm up there. I love the costumes and makeup I get to play around with.....I just love the stage and would stay up there all night long if the other girls would let me :-)

I quit my job....and i was going to school fulltime and I needed to pay rent...so.....

so that i can go back to school. i have grants to pay for college, but i can't work 60 hours a week making 8.50 an hour and go to school full time. for me it was more of a time issue. dancing allows me to work a 3-4 day work week and still make enough money to pay my bills while i'm in college.
I love the money. And representing for the beautiful people of the Mexican Highlands (my dad's people are very unique-looking and artistic indigenous Latin Americans.)

i started dancing for the $$$ not to mention it is great setting your own hours and when you have kids its good because the hours you work they are in bed and the attention you get doesnt hurt the ego one bit i also liked the dancing keeps you in shape goodluck

My reason was for the money....

WOW...lol!...i didnt even know what a stripper was until i was 17 or so...Originally Posted by Peta

Long story short:
BF at the time represented a local SC in the local Eight Ball (Pool) competition. I was the 'cheer squad' hence went along to all the games incl. home games. The home games were naturally played within the strip club. Got to know the other dancers (kinda). Curiosity. Unemployed (lost my casual job). Sick of hospitality. Was only going to give it a go over Indy (late October for a week).
I had no troubles being nude. Love to dance. Love the stage/performing. I'm a natural flirt so I might as well be paid to flirt. I needed the people skills (I was really afraid of starting up conversations and going to parties where I knew no one except the host).
What keeps me going is my love of performing. The money definately! The ability to travelI've seen more of my home country than any other member of my family. I also am able to use my natural flirtatious nature around guys/men
I also love the 'business' side of it... I've learnt alot about taxation and so forth.
