Default New digital camera -- pics of the house I designed

OK, I have a new digital camera to take hot pics of somebody very special, but since she owns those (and they are awesome, damn!) she gets to post them here herself.

I'm stuck posting pictures of my Virginia house I designed and had built. Still learning this camera and proper lighting, but the resolution on the camera is pretty incredible.

I adore the kitchen! And is that a green chaise in the fourth photo? Nothing like a cushy chair. Lovely lighting throughout, too . . . that's what matters most to the ladies, natch.

Yes, that cushy chair is in the entrace foyer to the master bedroom. The fourth photo in the first post is what you see when you walk into the master bedroom, and then you turn right and see what's shown in the fifth photo.

The lighting is nice, but I once calculated that there are 400 light-bulbs in, on and around the house. Changing those with 40-ft barrel ceilings can be....uh, fun.

I should have posted the master bath pic (this shows one-half of it, excluding the sunken tub in the middle, the shower, sauna, etc. which are out of view) along with an exterior window shot showing the jacuzzi and pool.

I hope Pryce can update the name of this thread -- I first posted the pics as a test and then couldn't change the thread name when the pictures were sucessfully uploaded.

Thank you, VG. A beautiful woman is exactly what this house needs, of course. It's a little cavernous and empty since my daughter is away at the beach with her mother right now....

Thanks to Pryce for fixing the thread title!

Thanks, Rhi. I've always thought the Virginia house would be ideal for StripperFest III. There's the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, wide-screen TV room, TV and cable in each room, 6 bathrooms and several acres of land. Next to a golf course (for Kitana). That should do it.

The Georgetown property has been the venue for parties over the years, but it's always mobbed and noisy and frankly the beautiful women of SW deserve a lot better than that.

Awesome house! How many square feet? I really like it. What's this about Stripperfest III? A joke or a real event?

Well, let's hope more people make a point to make it to SFIII than they did to SF Chicago.

    I'm STILL mad about that.

actually looks alot like the one I decorated ... I used the same colors and it has the same feel, with a lot of contemporary windows and furniture and stuff. I like!

That house has to be one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! Wonderful job, I'm jealous! And speaking from a theatrical backround I love the placement of lighting fixtures, gives the house a very relaxed feel. Great job.

So, when I'm rich and famous will you design my house too? lol

hi could u tell me the square footage. i really like those archways. what was your inspirations. and is their an association that dictates the outside color of your home. that is a great accomplishment. maybe you can sell it and start on another one

everythins is awesome but i thought the excercise room was a bit odd. are you going to work on that or leave it as is.

The house is about 7,000 square feet on three levels. It's mostly windows on the main level, including the 40-foot Palladian which dominates the living room and opens to the pool. The windows are mostly Andersen or custom-designed high-insulation windows, which is important if you want to keep your utility bills at anything less than two large a month.

The exterior is real stucco, although it was originally built with EIFS (stupid move on my part). I had it completely reclad this last year. There are no homeowner association regulations on the external appearance, but then my neighborhood is mostly comprised of business owners, sports figures, a handful of plastic and general surgeons and high-profile law firm partners. Everybody is borderline nuts. The head of the homeowners association is completely insane, although charming in his own way (he has a security system on his property that is vastly superior to anything at Langley.) However, the entire neighborhood is so tolerant that I think I could easily get away with a lawn refrigerator by claiming it as an ironic comment on post-modernism.

If we were to do SF III here, and that's perfectly fine with me (the decision lies with the dancers, of course; as usual, I just make sure they have every single thing they could possibly need or imagine) they boys in the neighborhood would no doubt stop by and be their charming selves. (And VG, I am still sad about Chicago -- Thank you so much for all your efforts. I surely would have been there had it not been for a prior....uh...commitment on the West Coast.)

Anyway, one interesting aspect of this house is the master bedroom suite. It's impossible for me to convey this in a few photographs, but the master bedroom takes up most of the entire second floor, and includes a foyer, walk-in closets, the master bath suite, a gas fireplace, two balconies and the sitting area, along with TVs in both the bathroom (projected onto the mirrors) and above the fireplace. This room, by itself, is larger than my home club (as a couple of dancers have wryly pointed out to me.)

Speaking of irony: The very special woman in my life right now likes small, cozy, compact homes. Big homes make her crazy. I may need to burn this one down and start all over again.

Very impresive. And I like the concept of the master bedroom suite.

Mind if I ask where you got your millions? lol Club owner?

Here, I found you a new smaller house. Now, quickly, move out of that much too big, over-sized, ridiculous house so I can move in. I'd hate to see you suffer so...

^ Isn't that Derek's "condo?" You'll notice your feet stick to the floor on the way in...

I figure Derek can handle the teasing. He's also showing admirable relative constraint on the pink side lately.

That house actually reminds me of the house I grew up in. And that was a major improvement on the trailer.

I had a Nigerian transfer $25,000,000 USD to my bank account on behalf of His Royal Highness Lordship brother, aka "The Bishop," who had escaped from unjust confinement in a UK prison but was then kidnapped by "gorillas." He couldn't find anybody who would take his money because every single person on the planet thought it was a scam.

I've solved the Nigerian's problem, but I have no idea how club owners make money. Some day I will start a club myself and let the dancers run it. Sort of the story of my life now.

hahaha That doesn't answer a whole lot, but a good answer nonetheless.

What's up with mention of the "pink side" of the site here and there? What's the other side?
