I don't know if maybe it's the town my club is in but the guys seem to LOVE Tool and A Perfect Circle.
I try to dance to that about as often as Hip Hop & Rap. I suggest you ladies experiment with it.
I ♥ Tool.

Yep, Tool is the Pink Floyd of our day. My kid brother loves them and I made sure he got to see them in concert twice in one year.......few other acts come close and the band members were very accomplished people before they started Tool.
Rock for MENSA!
Danny Carey is the god of tool, his drumming skills are by far make him one of the greatest drummers.
How hard is it to dance to tool? I would assume that it isn't the easiest thing to do.
Every Tool member is very gifted in his own way. (Boy, that sounded funny.) There are very few bands that exceed the sum of their parts. They have actually surpassed that achievement with A Perfect Circle, which is supposed to Maynard's exploration of his feminine side.
It's possible to dance to Tool if you're athletic and aggressive. The sound dynamic appeals to the male libido.
madmaxine, don't get me wrong..everyone from tool are extraodinary but danny stands out so much more to me. Has been one of the drummers that i've always looked up to, was a reason why i almost started playing drums.
Play those drums Damie! I was almost going to go on a Neil Peart speil on this thread, but this is a Tool thread, not a Rush thread.
I know kits are expensive but you can hunt for a starter kit, and use the sticks backwards to extend their life.
I myself have a guitar picking up dust in the corner.
I do wish i had started playing drums..but i just couldnt see myself remember what to hit during a song..so confusing.
Drumming is not hard. There are an infamous many "drummer is not smart" jokes. If you have ever known a drummer you will see what I mean.
I used to be proud of my guitar playing, but almost anyone with enough practice can be a "guitarist".....LOL......last nail in the coffin of Rock Star Worship.
Do it because it makes you happy! Just soundproof the room as a consideration to others.
I dance to Tool and A Perfect Circle all of the time.I find it really easy to dance to but I listen to it all the time anyways. It's not something you just want to experiment with if your not familiar with it.
OH I have to add I played Tool's "Aenima" in my car all the time when I was pizza delivery person. (That job was too much fun LOL) That's a legendary album that will sell forever, like Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" or Rush's "Moving Pictures".....
Heavy pole dancers can utilize Tool, because of the long drum fills, askew-guitar solos and long codas. YEAAAAAH!

I fucking love Tool, and Perfect Circle as well. There is a very talented dancer who rocks out on Tool every time, but then the girl is phenomenal no matter what you play for her.
Anyone checked out Peach? I had their CD but someone stole it a while back before i had a chance to really check it out or play it much.

speaking of Perfect Circle: Magdelena is awesome to dance to....especially if you are a black woman. A man that I see professed this song to me, and I listened to it and thought, WOW! Very cool, very sensuous....
I know it so well, it comes natural...Originally Posted by Damie

hope that all makes sense.
Yeah, I love dancing to tool. I tip my DJs so fat when they play it for me. One plays it at least twice a night for me, another gets pissed if I even request, like I'm a threat to his DJ ego-expertise... Oh well, he always gets minimum tipout.Originally Posted by Djoser

My cousin obsessed over them too... he calls it "undiluted reality rock"...Originally Posted by madmaxine

Hey DJoser, are you referring to the artist Peaches, album - the Teaches of Peaches? That's the closest I could find to Peach online....?
I believe Djoser is refering to the band Peach...
Justin Chancellor was in it before Tool
Giving Birth to a Stone,Siesta, and I believe II were their only albums

I have danced to these bands since day one of my career... for the sheer reason that they are two of my favorites... I find their songs surprisingly tend to be essential amongst strip club playlists... which I didnt expect when entering the biz.

Im more into APC, and I almost always dance to them. I love there songs, they have great beats. I prefer to dance to The Noose followed by The Outsider, they actually flow very well into each other
Thanks Blade![]()

Blade gets down...
I forget which one of those Peach CDs I had. I barely had time to listen to it on the run, before it got stolen...I remember it as having promise, but possibly disappointing compared to the superb Tool CDs.
Tool is also great to use for a dancer like Cassy, since not only are the songs so powerful, but they are long as well. In a club like mine, with a number of dancers of questionable visual appeal (hahaha), this comes in handy...
I have worked many nights when I would praise Jesus or look for a chicken to sacrifice in gratitude--just to see Cassy walk in that door! Now we have some attractive new girls, and we have weeded out the losers to a large extent, so I can have a kick-ass night without her, but I always miss her anyway, lol...she rocks the house every time!

I guess I'll just throw this in here, since it's semi-related. Any fans of APC should download some tracks by a band called 10 Years. I'd never heard of them until recently so I dont know if they have more than one album. The singer is VERY Maynard-esque....the music is...hmmm...a bit mellower, then rockin in places...much more like APC than Tool. I bought the cd at Best Buy for 9.99 the other day and I'm digging it. I think the singles are "wasteland" and "through the iris".....i like the second track, i think it was called "fault line", but i left the disc at work last night so i can't check. Give it a whirl.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
