    Default Another boob job thread.....

I am almost 2 1/2 weeks post-op, I went under the muscle, HP saline, from a full B. I need a little info/support from anyone else who has gone under the knife! I've been to all the other implant info forums, but the info on them is pretty hard to wade though, and not dancer-specific.
My question - my left has dropped, while the right is sitting considerably higher. (I'm right-handed) My doc says this is normal, has anyone else experienced it? Has anyone gone back to work before the second one dropped? Was it noticeable? My doc says if it doesn't drop in 3 months, he'll go back in and pull it down. I can NOT take 3 mos off work! Is there anything else besides massage I can do to push it down? I'm already wearing a tight band around the top of my breasts.
Also, I'm not sore anymore, but sometimes I get a sharp stinging pain under my right breast, does this mean it's dropping?
I know it's early to be panicking this much, but I appreciate any info. Thanks.

First I don't recommend anyone go back to work until they're at least 4 weeks post-op. Let your body heal - docs say you shouldn't be doing any physical exercise for 4-6 weeks. Dancing is much more physical than we realize!!!

Second I think it's pretty common for one to drop before the other.

Third, our natural breasts aren't perfectlt symmetrical, so neither can enhanced breasts be.

Last the sharp stinging is from your nerves regenerating. It's normal and good, and goes away in a few weeks or months.

Breast augmentation is seriously traumatic to your body and it takes time to heal. Best thing you can do is take good care of yourself, follow doc's orders and try not to stress. I think the fact this is such a common procedure now causes us to get the idea it should be a quick easy recovery but it's really not. And the fact we're aware we've put something foreign in our bodies causes us to get unnecessarily nervous when the recovery doesn't go as smoothly as we'd like.

Relax, take a lil more time off and pamper yourself a bit more

This is perfectly normal and yes, it is best to wait at LEAST four weeks before you go back to work - what if some guy gets past your boundries and thinks it's okay to give your new boobs a healthy squeeze. No, don't do it. Not to mention the possibilites of infection.. ew.

It is usual for one boob to drop before the other - happy healing and enjoy your new boobs!

the four week thing not to start any trouble but I fell fine and I have been running around and slowly getting sinsation back but feel the need to work, I think I have a high tollerance for pain b/c my doctor said wow that I stopped my pain meds after two days and feel great don't get me wrong the first two days were the worse days of my life but I feel good and my doctor said that there was no problem for me to go back to dancing but where I work we don't really go on stage that much too so I guess that can make a big difference but I guess it really depends on your body and what you and your doctor both agree would be the best for you (today would be a week and 3 days)

Way too soon to worry about this. I had the same thing, my left didn't drop all the way until like a month ago, slowly they evened out. I had my BA in December, so even if it doesn't by three months I would wait at least 5-6. My doc was worried he was gonna have to do a pocket revision, but they look perfect now. I worked after 2 months post BA and no one could tell, unless I raised my arms above my head or told them. It is extremely normal. I was addicted to this website, you should check it out it is .

    Good luck!

also, the stinging pains are good it means your massaging is doing something, your nerves are regenerating and the more you massage the more you will get this feeling. I didn't mention mine didn't drop b/c I didn't massage like I was supposed to, but even at 3 months post op, when I started massaging I started getting thoses sensations. It hurts, but keep doing it.

Trust me, it will be fine...all it needs is time. You will only drive yourself crazy if you obsess about it now...take it from someone who's been there. Focus on the good things about your breasts that you love, and keep reminding yourself that this is only temporary, because it is...THEY WILL GET BETTER, ALOT BETTER. I promise. Don't forget to smile when you think about your new breasts...doing this is like medicine...it really helps you to stay positive.

same thing happened here. honestly you just have to give it time.

also there are going to be differences between the two breasts.
There were differences before the surgery and now they will be more noticable because they're bigger!
These differences are usually only noticed by you.

Stay Calm, I think many of us went a little crazy after our boob jobs.

I bet they will be amazing...
    Congratulations on the twins!

Thanks for the info and the support! It's one thing for my doc to tell me it's perfectly normal, much more reassuring to hear from other dancers who have been through the same thing.
What did you guys do during the recovery period to keep from going crazy? I can't work, or work in my house or garden...... all no-no's. I never thought I'd say I was dying to get back to work!
Does it really take 3 months for the swelling to go completley down? They feel freakin' huge! (I know 350cc isn't huge, but it feels like it!)
I guess I'm truely a child of our instant-gratification society.....
