Default What Popular Financial Sites Do You Visit?

I think a consolidated listing of popular financial sites might be useful for dancers and customers alike.

I enjoy browsing through fatwallet.com finance forums, they have a little bit of info on almost everything.

    What are some other reccomendations???

    www.fool.com I'm being serious. Truly I am.
    www.ferrarichat.com (specifically the business section)
    www.vault.com

Otherwise I stick to printed material.

If you want good stock tips, visit www.thestreet.com . Check out the articles writen by Jim Cramer. He's a cofounder of the site and knows everything there is to know about stocks.

No offense intended, but in the investment industry Cramer is considered to be a 'perma-bull'. There are lots of 'free' financial advisors/talking heads out there, and in every case we investors should be aware that we're getting our money's worth in terms of accurate forecasting.

I have support Melonie on her coment regarding Cramer. Although after her reference of the Bear site now I better understand her outlook on the US Economy - but I really appreciate most of what she writes.

I like Jim because he made me close to a 90% return on OSG, so I owe him some props. I realize he's not perfect, he blew it big time last monday by making Dicks Sporting Goods the pick of the week, on Tuesday it was down 12.5%. I like his show Mad Money, especially during the lightning round, the man goes insane.

The comment which immediately comes to mind is that a broken clock is right twice a day ! Look, I'm not trying to promote or slam Cramer or any other financial 'talking head'. I'm only trying to point out that these guys are getting paid for their performance, not the accuracy of their advice. I agree that Cramer is a riot to watch, but trusting my own money to his advice is another thing altogether.

Also because of the 'perma-bull' bias of many of the 'talking head' financial commentators, it's good to apply some counterbalance with a little more 'meat' to the conclusion every once in a while ...

You make a great point Melonie, I agree. Anyone looking to invest needs to do their own research and look at a company's numbers. It's not a good idea to just buy what "expert" investors tell you to. I usually take stock suggestions/tips and then go off to places like yahoo finance or my Ameritrade account and do some research on my own. I have run a cross a few where I ask myself "what the hell was Jim thinking on this one". Before anyone buys a stock I would tell them to do all the research they can on it.

Good ideas here. I get my technical data at www.prophet.net
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.
