Default How much $$ is typical for the first time?

My friend just started in a club in Florida. She said she only made eight dollars her very first set (three songs) and ultimately came home that night having made 62 bucks. Is this good, bad, average? How much money can I expect to make as a first-timer and how long does the learning curve affect my wallet? I’m nervous to only walk away with making under ten bucks for dancing a set and even more nervous to make less than 50.

Also, I understand the best money comes from regulars. How do I go about obtaining regulars? How many total regulars is typical once you get going?

Sorry $62 is terrible but acceptable when youre new. I dont know about FL but its better than CA. Im sure some Floridans will chime in...

Kate there are so many variables that effect earnings beyond just being new.

What day was it? What time of day was it? What types of dances does the club offer? What type of customers does the place attract? What types of other things does the club have for dancers to sell - ie table dance, private dance, champagne room? How confident and agressive is the dancer? on and on and on...

Who knows? Given a certain set of circumstances $62 after tip out may have been good even for one of the experienced dancers that worked at that club during that shift, or it could have been really bad and she should think of doing something else. Not enough information to know which one for sure.

FLORIDA IS unbearably sucky in the summer time! (esp july-aug). It kicks ass in late fall and winter, but tell your friend that every dancer sees her income drop in the summer. Snowbirds are gone, people are on vacation, and its too damn hot to visit FL. I've had some really bad days lately also, but you have to look at the big picture... it gets much better and things average out when season comes

    First nights tend to suck.
Hell, I made $35. But it will get better. Don't let first time suckiness get you down.

I made $350 my 1st night, but that was when stripping was where the money was at.

Now I think $50-100 would be good for a 1st nighter.

Don't be fooled into thinking that you make the most money off of regulars. I never had a regular, and I used to bank. If you spend all of your time "trying" to get regulars...you are wasting time working the room and taking the money from guys willing to part with it. Money adds up quickly, but not if you are wasting your time sitting with a guy in the hopes that he'll be your regular.

I didnt want regulars, ended up with quite a few, but still made money. First time ever I made 175.00 on working 8 hours and thought that was great. I had work "regular" jobs before.

i rember my first night like it was yesterday i made 66 dollars i was proud of every cent. It was my first time ever in a strip club let alone dancing. I had no idea how to sell a dance but i worked until i learned it in a year i made it to the top. Just keep the drive and you will go far. But the sad thing is all 66 dollars i made got stolen by my "best friend" at the time the next day. arrrrrr i was so upset.

true, regulars are something that I try to avoid. A lot of girls like to call one in when its slow, but I think those relationships are high maintenance for the amount of moey they provide (typically).

Girls that rely on regulars are those who don't like to work that hard and girls that work slower shifts (like day shift). Occasionally when I work day shift, I do very well because I have that new girl thing going for me. The regulars are not that loyal as the dancers think they are anyway.

Well, there are so many variables involved when considering what is normal for a first night...I made 120 after tipout my first night. It was a monday, and BOY was it slow...but the girls were very supportive and taught me how to hustle dances. I also learned how very important a smile is. The angry looking girls always go home with less at the end of the night.

I did well my first night but I think a lot of it was lucky and while I was proud of how much I made it was pennies compared to what the other girls make.... It all depends on where you live... in Dallas $200 is kinda low... but where you are clearing $100 may be good....

My goal my first night was just to survive.... I didn't care how much I made
