    Default wheres the money?

I've been dancing for 8 years in the WI,IL area.I have a hard time making any real money around here these days.Im interested in traveling this fall and winter, but I don't know where to start.I've found lots of good info on this site, but I'd like to know if business is slow everywhere or is just the area Im in.I've talked to a few girls that travel and they all say that girls in WI work twice as hard for half the money than girls in other states.I hear girls that talk about making thousands per night.I've never made that kind of money.I've had a few nights where I pulled 4 or 5 hundred, but I usually make 150-250.I'm 5'8,120lbs,nice hour glass figure, pretty face.I have no problem attracting men and have been told that I'm one of sexiest dancers they've seen by many people.(dancers, club owners, custys)I'm not the most confident person, but I'm comfortable with myself.I usually do well on stage, not so good on dances. If anyone knows of some clubs where you can do make money on stage and not have to kill yourself trying to get dances, please help me out.

Teddi Bare 2, CONSISTENT money is what is key. Girls who talk about making thousands of dollars are liars for the most part, and don't dance full time.

The best CONSISTENT weekly earnings in this business are in places with less girls to compete with, in clubs that are set up to MAXIMIZE dance sales.

You need to focus on selling dances. The stage is NOT where the money is. Do you know how to sell customers dances from the stage? Do you approach all the customers for dances? Do you know how to persuade them to buy dances? Do you have any regular customers lined up whom you keep in touch with?

The Dancer Wealth seminar www.dancerwealth.com is what the doctor ordered for you.

If you are AVERAGING $150-$250 per night, and master dance selling skills, you could probably increase your AVERAGE earnings into the $300-$400 range which is about as good as it gets for a full time dancer now.

Selling dances is not killing yourself. That is what this business is ALL about. In the big clubs guys don't even look at the stage. You just need to learn what to say, and get out there talking to the guys between sets and asking for dances, and not sit around.

Many major cities have peaks and valleys in club business. The valleys in big city clubs could cause you to LOSE money. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Be a good floor worker, take the class, and put less emphasis on stage, and you should find your money will be much better where you are working now.

There are girls at PEC who do often break $1K a night, but it's a top NYC club, there's a ton of competition but also a lot of high-spending clients. Most dancers at PEC know if they work, say, four nights a week, one of them will inevitably be one where they make barely over their fees. It's VERY inconsistent there, unless you've curried favor with a CR host and do extras. Even then...

Tina is right about consistency. Before I worked at PEC I made between $400-$600 a night most nights, which I think is pretty good.

I was traveling a lot my last few years dancing and it was mostly fun, but it wears on you. Try to maximize your sales skills instead. If you make $100 a night extra after working on these skills, it doesn't sound like a lot, but if you work four nights a week that's an extra $400 a week!

Your question about big nights has been answered Reese. You will have some but, you also will counter them with nights where you make NOTHING.

Many girls as I have said before brag about good nights and AVOID discussing the nights where they barely make tipout or even lose money, don't they?

If you have a $1000 night, a $500 night, a $200 night, and a night where you don't make your $300 tip outs back and lose $100, you've made $1600 for the week, or an AVERAGE of $400 a night, right?

You could make close to that on average in other towns with a lesser cost of living with good selling skills, couldn't you?

How much after tip out income is considered "slow".

Thanks Tina, your right! I was thinking about working in N.Y, but i dont think its gonna be any better, Philly i guess is not that bad after all! I mean it has been consistent for. And all the girls do brag about making that kinda money but we all know it might not be consistent! Guess you have to see for yourself no matter you work.
