Wow, I did it. And I'm not as sore this morning as I'd expect! I looked very, very new and kinda funny, but I laughed it off. I felt like an idiot on stage, and my improvising was kinda dumb- but I didn't trip on the heels as much as I thought!
And I think being new makes selling dances that much easier (taking advantage, etc), which was good when I met the nice guys, but I had to be firm with one or two others (ie- no...NO... NO! ok, Sorry pal, dance is over).
So thank you so much everyone. I told some of the girls who asked that I was new, like my first day new, and they were really nice. One offered me a free dance to show me what to do (last night I just did what I thought, and the DJ strolls by often enough to keep the custys and everyone in line, which I rather like). I lost track of her, but I'll try to get one next time.
haha, and how long does it take to look semi-decent on stage? or in general, not totally newbie? I was shaking and stuff sometimes, and I think it was the adrenaline as much as nerves (lap dances and walking around so much really wore me out more than I thought!).
You folks are the best!!! I honestly couldn't imagine how I would have looked (and felt) were it not for the info on this site. The manager and DJ kept asking how I was doing, what I thought of it, etc, and I said "yeah, pretty well what I expected, thanks!"

the shaking will go away, getting a ld from a dancer is a good idea. that's what i did when i first started and i learned alot from it. They also can teach you more stage tricks. you'll be sore for a few weeks, and you'll bruise but that goes away
