Default Hustler Club SF - Temporary?

Does anyone know anything about the Hustler Club in San Francisco? I'm thinking of auditioning there. I was there a few weeks back and one of the dancers said I should audition and they really wanted more blondes (everyone I saw there was brunette, but it was early Sunday afternoon).

Thing is, I actually live in L.A. and I'm just up here working temporarily on a film. Is it kosher to work there just on weekends for a few weeks and then quit when I go back to L.A.? Or should I just wait until I get back home?

I might even be going to Memphis to work after this, so it could be awhile before I get home. I need to start making cash ASAP and if it's cool to just work a few weeks at Hustler (or somewhere else in SF), it might be nice to do that and get all my "newbie-ness" out of the way here.

Do a search, lots of information. You can work there temporarily. I didn't have a great experience there, but perhaps it will be better for you. Bring DL and SS card. You can't wear boots and you must carry THEIR purses around to put your money in.

    What was your bad experience?

I noticed about the purses. I think they're cute!

Carrying THEIR purses is for making sure THEY get their cut of ALL your money

You can pretty much feel free to get hired and work any strip club for any amount of time. If you don't want to burn a bridge at a particular place, just make sure to finish the shift before you leave rather than simply walk out. This business is so high turnover, clubs are used to girls coming to work for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 10 years (the shorter terms are most common).

When I worked at Hustler SF they were pretty cool about the $$ content of our purse/boxes. Yes we had to pay our fees to the house at the end of the night out of there, but they didn't open up the box and make us count the money in front of them. I usually cut the silly plastic twist-tie that "locked" it shut the first time a customer asked for change.

DejaVu was very specific about scheduling too. You had to make and stick to a schedule. So just make sure they know exactly what days you are coming and going or else they'll tack on an extra "walk in" fee or fine you if you don't show up on a day that they have you scheduled for.

The scheduling at Hustler is based on the manager's preference. The current GM asks for a minimum of 3 days (at least one non-prime shift), or you can have no schedule and pay a $160 house fee (not counting VIP fees) each shift. Britney is correct about the money boxes. You should also check out the other Broadway clubs to see if their fees, etc might work better for you.

Eek, I can't do three days. I can do three shifts if one day can be a double, but I work five days a week and my work days are at least 12 hours long. I'll call before I go in to talk to audition and discuss it with them. Who do I ask to talk to when I call? And what kind of clothes do I bring to the audition - do they wear gowns or lingerie there or what? I can't remember what the girls were wearing when I was there before.

Can y'all recommend a better club or is Hustler a good place to work?

    Hehehehe

I walked out of Ricks in Houston once, after the manager was repeatedly annoying me. The next day I came back, sort of apologized as I brushed by him, and all was kosher.

I really liked the Gold Club in SF, but never worked a shift there. I hear its much busier during the day though. Its also Deja Vu, so be prepared for similar structure, although I can't confirm.

It seems like Deja Vu has their grimy claws sunk deep into the SF club scene. The main benefit to working at their clubs is that they are far less tolerant of extras than other SF clubs (such as MBOT) where extras run rampant.

Thanks, guys. Maybe this Sunday I'll just pop into Hustler and the Gold Club and see which one I like better, then audition next weekend. I realise I'm not going to get a good representation of what the business is like on a Sunday afternoon, but still.

The main thing I'm worried about is extras. I DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT want any part of that. I'll grind and they can keep their hands to themselves unless I say otherwise, and that's as far as I'm willing to go.

Those two clubs are very clean. Its actually hard to get a job at the extras clubs in town like MBOT and New Century Theatre. You have to come in on audition days and work a schedule. The manager asked me to come back the next day to NCTheatre, even though it was obvious that I was better looking than any girls there. That's not bragging either. But the place is so dark, that it really doesn't matter what you look like, that guys are there for service.

BUT, serious money is made in those places, while at Hustler/Gold Club, $250 take-home might be more the average. Now this might be ok in most cities, but with the cost of living in SF, some girls are willing to do what it takes to live the lifestyle they want.

$250 take-home is fine with me. More is better, of course, but I average $150/day on the job I'm on right now, so every little additional bit helps. And I could get some experience here which I can take to another club later.

I waitressed long enough to where I think I'm a decent flirt and I can run a pretty good hustle. As long as I'm coming home with at least $100 or so on the average, I'm happy. As long as I earn it honestly, legally, and clean.

The economic climate is not conducive to making GOOD money in SF these days. Even with convention "traffic" this week (furniture business), it has been tough at best. IMO, the best bet for money is probably Hustler (I have several friends whom are doing well there, including my best friend) or Gold Club night shifts. The main thing with these clubs is you have to stay on the floor, talking to customers. Work, work, work and it should pay off. I hate change, so I keep staying on at Broadway Showgirls, even though I've been struggling financially. It's the 1-2 REALLY good nights each month that keep me there...Things just aren't the same in SF as they were even only a year ago. Take it for what it's worth...from a local who has been working in the City full time for the past 2 years...

Thanks, Glamazon! I don't even live here; I'm just working here temporarily. Thank G-d I don't have to pay San Francisco rent. It's even more expensive here than L.A.!

Will do! I think I'll audition next weekend instead. I have to work this Saturday (usually I have them off) and Sunday I need to have my hair touched up. Might go shopping for an outfit and shoes, too. I have shoes but they keep coming untied, which doesn't seem safe to me... damn $10 shoes.
