    Default Patterns for costumes?

So I'm starting to work at this gown club, right, and I'm also really into sewing. Does anyone know if there is a website that has patterns for making your own gowns?

(I'm a good seamstress and I have professional quality machines, so I'm not worried about them looking shoddy.)

i don't know of a site that has exotic dancer gowns, specifically, but you could try adapting the patterns of more "traditional" gowns to suit your needs... google mccall's, they and their affiliates make all kinds of patterns

Are you looking for materials or just fishing for some ideas from existing gowns?

If you're just looking for ideas, several of the sites in this thread have gowns. Also if you look down the thread you'll find links to feature costume makers as well....

If you are looking for places to purchase materials to make dresses, let us know and we can try to provide a few resources for that as well.

    Best of luck!

I borrow dresses I like from friends and make patterns off of them. There is a great book called "Patterns From Finished Clothes" by Tracy Doyle that helps with this.

I have never found patterns for stripper clothes but it's really easy to addapt regular ones for that perpose.I've made alot of my own stuff. It's normally easy however just to find some finished pieces that you like and make your own patteren.

Another good idea for making t-bars, is to find a pair that fits you well. Then take them apart with a seam ripper to make the pattern.
