Why would the waitress/bartender being in the VIP room to begin with?

As far as I know no one's been fired for that at my club, but there is a waitress that will dance, but only for this one customer and it has to be in VIP. She won't go on stage or do regular dances in the open. I've always wondered why.
A customer ask the manager for me (bartender) to do the VIP suite $400, (for the club)I said no (very nicely) the manager told me I had to VIP rooms if a customer offered! SO I was FIRED!I was NOT told this when I was hired, and I did ask!! The VIP suite includes EXTRAS!!!!SO I am a little upset! Just wanted to know if anyone else had ever heard of this happening? I haven't and I have worked in several clubs, however this club is in South Fl and extras are common.........

You have pretty solid ground for a lawsuit, LittleJ. If this is true, I hope you win and I hope the asshole gets kicked in the teeth as hard as possible. Who does he think he is, your pimp?
Thats what I thought, however I cann't prove anything...
Bring your female lawyer with you to visit him and mention you might be willing to settle out of court.
Sounds like you were fired for something way out of your employment agreement.
Or you could walk away and thank the stars you learned of this creep the easy way.

I'd be seeing a lawyer asap. In cases like this, it's always your word against theirs. What a piece of shit! And no, I've never heard of a bartender or waitress, or any other STAFFMEMBER getting fired for turning down a vip. UGH!
Heh, I'd have gone in the VIP and sat on my ass the whole time. When the guy complained, I'd have simply told him 'hey, I'm just a bartender and I'm only here because the manager said I'd be fired if I didn't go. if I wanted to dance I'd be on stage instead of behind the bar!'
Florida is a two party state as far as phone calls go, so go in person and talk to him. Act like you want to get your job back. Take a small recorder with you and put it in your bag. If you act really innocent and stupid, he'll hang himself (trust me). "But __________, I didn't know that this was expected of me. I've been working here 6 months and this has never come up. I wouldn't mind doing the VIP if he didn't expect me to give him a BJ. Why didn't you tell me that this was required when you hired me?" Then go find an attorney and get his ass...
A discreet phone call to the local police would also be in short order. They'll LOVE some info like that. Call for the Vice Squad from a phone booth and give names, ranks and serial numbers. That'll cause even more damage. When a club gets busted, they lose business for a long time. Girls dont' want to work there and customers dont' want to take the chance of getting busted (not to mention that there wouldn't be any girls there).
There's this waitress is this club I worked at. She dressed in skimpier outfit than us dancers and yet she did VIP's. She did HJ's. BJ's, all that. And yet she strolled around talking about how she was so much better than us because she didn't go on stage. She even got breast implants and posed for the club website. Whatever.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Do unto others as you would have them do to you...it's less work to be nice than it is to be evil!
"Miss ChiChi, if you was my girl you would never cry from anything...except maybe happiness."
i read your other post...i've heard about this club..disgusting high mileage. That is NOT normal. Even as a dancer I can refuse to do a VIP if I want. That was a bad place to work at. Look into a lawsuit. i hope someone slams his head against a brick wall.Originally Posted by littlej
