As many have said here, it is an individual thing. I have a regular that had an operation "down below" so he has no feeling down there. If I had not taken the time to get to know him and find out these things about him, I would not have known what kind of dance to give him. He doesnt' dance with anyone else but me, because I give him what he wants. He doesn't even care what size breasts they are, either.

Some guys are breast men, some are @$$ men, some just want to cuddle and/or talk. It is up to you to take the time to find out what each man desires. I don't so one dance with 30-40 guys each over the course of the night. I usually dance for 5-6 and get multiple dances with them. I believe that it is knowing what each man individually wants.

Well, why do people go to movies and theaters. They go to see the show.
And the show is, in this case, the product. Not everybody goes to see the same show. Some want romance, some want action, some adventure.

Reasons for going are the same as they were before, escapism, a break from the same old mundane existence. They want a good time, a fun experience, a change in mental process and activity. This is about what we are selling.

Very true. The only catch here though is that even if ten guys come into the club for ten different reasons, you are still selling the same product, it's just that you sell it to them in ten different ways. For example, when I work with real estate agents, I have them ask the customer a lot of questions while walking through the house to paint a better picture of why they are there. A lot of times it gets them to talking also which is good. A common training example I use is this...

Let's say the potential home buyer asks, "are there any schools around here?". A BAD sales person would respond with, "Yes, there is one three blocks away." BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD! A much better response would be, "Well, is having a school around here important to you?". Now what you've done is get him to expand upon why they asked you that question. So now the person says, "Well, yes, we have two young kids and we want to make sure they have some shools in walking distance from the house when they start going." NOW you respond with, "Oh, well, you're in luck. There is a school just three blocks from here." So let's say that the answer was completely different. The customer asks, "are there any schools around here" and you reply with, "is having a school around here important to you?" just like we did above. Let's say the answer this time is, "Yes, it is...my wife and I don't have any kids or want them...we don't want a bunch of kids walking through our yard every morning going to school." So now you give a different reply. This time you say, "Well, you're in luck...the nearest school is pretty far away...a whole three blocks in fact...far."

Do you see what happened? This is a sales technique called reframing. When you can better get an idea of the specifics that your customer is asking for, you can reframe it in a way that makes it always come back to the product you are selling. In this industry for example, you should always slip in a question like, "What type of outfits in here do you think look good?" If your customer says, "Well, the one you are wearing looks great." then reply with "Wow, you should see me when I'm out of it then!". If he says, "Well, the one on that blonde over there looks good." then you reply with, "It might look good on her, but you should see mine when it's off of me! How about a dance!" etc. etc. etc.

DW, you and I agree completely. The dancer (or any good sales person for that matter) needs to engage the customer in conversation to determine what he's really looking for, and then target the sales pitch accordingly. The product may be the same but the way it is presented needs to vary according to the customer's needs. (Some would say that that makes it a different product, but that's just semantics and not a discussion worth having IMO.) The key point is that the dancer needs to understand as much about the customer as she can and that means asking questions and taking a genuine interest in him as an individual. That's hard for a lot of people to do, especially if your initial reaction to the person is somewhat negative, as is often the case in a strip club. Being a successful stripper isn't easy.

Absolutely FONDL. Another thing to consider is that sometimes the product is MOSTLY the same for all people as in car sales for example. In car sales, it's actually quite simple. GOOD car salespeople don't pounce on the customer the second they walk on the lot. They let them walk around a bit and study what the customer is looking at whether it be sports car or mini-van. If the customer is looking at station wagons and mini-vans, the first words out of the salespersons mouth should be, "So, how many kids do you have?". If they are looking at sporty cards, they should say, "Getting a little bored in the ride you have now eh?" Get my drift? Although the basic product is the same in all circumstances...a vehicle with 4 tires, the subtleties in what they are looking for need to be revealed first before an effective sales pitch can be done.

A lot of girls where I work don't understand why I spend a lot of time watching the men that come in. I don't do the "wannadance" thing. I observe then I go up and talk to them. In a few minutes of watching and talking, I can learn a lot. No one said that we have to sit there for an hour. Many men liked to be listened to. If you do it correctly, they don't realize that you are gleaning info to get them to spend money on you.
