this supposed change does seem pretty fishy and perhaps not grounded in real fact...the only evidence of any sort of change in policy seems to be just from creepy extras-seekers on a message board. even if things DID change, it would probably take a while to root out the icky clienele and earn a respectable reputation once again.
i had quite an interesting conversation at my broadway club a few weeks ago. a man and his gay friend came in one super slow afternoon (for kicks i guess) and i spent a few drinks chatting with him after he gave me 20 bucks for guessing his profession (easy - cop!). i got quite an insight into the goings-on in the seedier market street clubs. he was saying that they are SO protected against busts, that he himself has gone in there, identified himself to both management and dancers as a police officer and STILL been solicited for sex. he also recalled a time he went in (all this to see how much people get away with in there -- to me both these men were perfect gentlemen), pulled out a 1/5 of whiskey and had an employee half assedly tell him that it wasnt allowed, and then let him keep it anyway. he pretty much confirmed everything i'd heard on the streets and in this forum about MSC and its friends. there really doesnt seem to be any reason why NCT or MSC would change their policies for the better.
