    Default weight loss plateu

Hello ladies, I have a fitness/ weight loss problem. I've recently lost about 30 lbs (from 185 to 155 and I'm 5'9) and now have a pretty nice figure but would like to lose about 10 or 15 more lbs and look more defined. My problem is this last 10 lbs are not wanting to go. I do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio a day, plus about 15 mins of sculpting, I eat pretty well (with the exception of a few cheats), and I supplement as much as one can. I know logically I'm going to have to up my cardio and down my caloric intake, but I was wondering if any of you have experienced this problem and what specific paths you took to force those last extra pounds to escape. Thanks for any help you've got.

Yea Im breaking out of that plateu right now. I changed my weight training routine, added 15min more cardio also varied it a bit more, and started taking supplements.

Im on a fat burner called Therma Hydroxadrine, Tonalin CLA, MSM-Chronditrum (sp?)-Glucosamine, and a multi-vitamin. The fat burner has alot less caffien in it so I dont get that jittery feeling but still gives me energy. Also, I eat more fruit and have a protein shake 1-2 times a day.

In the last 2 weeks I lost 3 more lbs. Its been hard but taking all that junk has helped alot. Maybe some of this will help you? Congrats on loosing that much weight so far...."you can dooeeiiit!"

I've said this a million times, so instead of re-typing everything...I'm just cutting and pasting.

If you've hit a plateau where you are not losing any more weight, then you need to "kick start" your body.

Go on a juice diet for 2-3 days...after that, eat mostly fruits and veggies with some protein (lean protein like fish and chicken). It'll really help your body get rid of those extra pounds. Usually, when you plateau like that, it's a sign that your body is "used" to your workouts and your eating needs to be tightened up a bit more.

Doing 30-45 minutes of cardio a day is great, but your body gets used to the "same old routine". Do a different type of cardio than you normally do. If you do treadmill, then switch some days to doing the elliptical...or the stair climber. Your body just needs to be "shocked".

I know logically I'm going to have to up my cardio and down my caloric intake
And, decreasing your "caloric intake" is kind of misleading. You really don't need to do that (unless it's over 2200 calories a day). Your body needs a certain amount of calories a day just to function. People who workout and are active need more, not less, calories. Now, what you NEED to do is cut your fat intake. it's very important to tighten up your eating habits. Those "cheats" that you're having (if you have more than one per week) are most likely what's holding you back. If you are eating chips, drinking pop/coffee, etc...all of those things will add up...and you won't be able to lose those last few pounds. If you absolutely do not need something...cut it from your diet. If it's a cheat food and you are really craving it...give it to yourself as a reward for a good workout week...ONCE per week. Other than that...you're good to go.
