    Default Pec

I am from South Carolina and business is rather slow right now, so my girlfriend and I from New Jersey attempted to find work in Manhatten for the summer. Unfornuately, it appears to be slow there, as well. We arrived at PEC around 6:30pm and had dinner first (posted in cust. review section). I had sent in pictures of myself a week ago and they informed that the doorman would decide whether or not we would be allowed in for an audition. So, here we are at 6:30 and he lets us in, he tells we will have to wait for a bit for management . A few girls are on the floor at around 8pm. I realize I am up to par with these girls and maybe even better looking than a few. I am 27 years old, 5'3", 108 lbs, blonde, 34 C (natural), pretty face, above ave. body. Most consider me a nine. My pic is posted on this website. My girlfriend, is from the Bahama islands, 34, looks 26, 5'7", very pretty face, small waist, natural small D large C, maybe slightly thick in hips, butt, thigh area. But no bigger than a couple of other girls we saw in the dressing room. So, we finally meet the manager, very nice, seems happy to have us audition but can't promise us anything. House mom is very rude and inpersonal, doesn't seem to want us there. Girls in the dressing room are very friendly and welcoming. One tells me I've got it, and not to worry about it. So, we finally go out and dance on a satellite stage for a minute or two while the house mom and manager watch and talk. She asks us to come back to the dressing room and tells us no. I had a hard time believing it but in reality I know it is not about me as I have worked at many other upscale clubs, for example, the Men's Club in Charlotte, NC. They are probably just slow and house mom doesn't want anyone right now. The front door guy couldn't believe they didn't hire us, lol.
Tell me what you guys think about this situation?

It's true. I had a friend who wanted to come audition with me at PEC when I went. I flew solo.

You can still make money at PEC in the summer, but it does slow down a lot. You should try going back, ALONE, and talk to Nick or Terrence. If you're beautiful AND personable, they just might give you a shot.

Yes, Nick and housemom did the audition. The housemom had curly medium length hair. I don't remember her name.

Well, I am from the south and have never been to a big city. I have to admit she is slightly thick around butt and thighs but most african-american are. Actually she is bahamian. I really wouldn't feel comfortable though driving and walking around Manhatten alone. Is it safe to walk alone around Manhatten? I know the driving part isn't safe, lol. I learned that first hand.

not to be rude greenidlady1, but if you have anxiety about walking in Manhattan- which is pretty safe- how do you figure you can handle being a dancer in Manhattan? It's survival of the fittest in NYC and you got to toughen up a bit otherwise NYC will eat you alive. and that goes for all professions.

I know of girls that auditioned at PEC three times before they were hired. Don't give up, and go to your audition alone!

Well, survival includes not walking alone in areas I don't know well alone either. That's why there was poster in the Score's dressing room of someone wanted for a rape that happened a block away. And yes I can see New York City comsuming you if you let it. I was offered a job at Scores and chose not to work there for a variety of reasons and one is because I didn't really care for the city. And the other was the 300 bucks in expenses I would ended up putting out before I even get on the floor to work. But I was just surprised that I wasn't hired and thought others might have some input on that, that's all. It was an experience to say the least.

Please dont take this wrong, but your nuts for taking someone else with you to an audition, specially a woc.
Leave your girlfriend at home and let her chase her career on her own, just like you have to do.
Dont put yourself in a position of a "package deal",specially if the other half is a woc.
If the woc isnt a 9-10,your shouldering some of the industry burden she has on her, onto yourself.
Dont try to fight the race issue in this industry if you dont have to,cause your gonna loose.

Golf season aint over yet in your area, stay and get the last drop.
Then when it gets cold, try again at PEC,alone.

Welcom to the City... You should be ok walking around the city. Late night i wouldn't suggest it just because you probably aren't used to the city enough yet. It' will just cause you anxiety.

It's so freakin hot here I don't even want to hit the strip clubs

Don't take it personally cause it could of been anything why they didn't hire you girls.....I've heard there full now and some girls have been put on a waiting list, don't know if that still applies today.Don't let it get you down ,you tried and im sure there turning everyone away at this time....Remember just about every dancer in NYC wants to work there and it's hard to get an audition even........you guys did good.

Hi all, I'm new to the stripperweb community. So far I've really enjoyed cruising around the forums and reading messages, especially those relating to working in New York.

After spending this past year and half dancing abroad (Private Eyes in Tokyo and Spearmint Rhino in Melbourne) I've decided to give New York a try. Have some good ideas of clubs I'd like to work at and would really like to head out there in a couple weeks. Hoping to get a job and start working right away, but am interested in long term employment. I know I'm high quality, but I'm still worried because this is the busiest time of year. I'm afraid all the top clubs will be full. (I have access to a very limited amount of my savings and am concerned that if I wait until January to head for New York, by that time I won't have enough money left to even make the move in the first place!) Can anyone offer me advice?
