Thumbs down Dancers looking in the mirror

So we go out for a bachelor party the other night and after I have done my job making sure the bachelor is taken care of, I realize I have not even scoped out the girls or lined up a dance yet. I see a girl I like on stage, go over and she gives me a good smile, a nice little dance, rubs her knee in the right places, and I tip her a 5 and I am golden. A few minutes later I see her standing with another guy, who is staring straight ahead, paying no attention to her, so I get her attention and motion for a dance. She comes right over, we go to the dance area and we begin. She moves great, the contact is firm, she is letting me admire her body, but then I notice that the whole she is just staring into the mirror behind us, and she is looking at herself, right in the eyes. I thought maybe she'd warm up if I got another dance, which I did, but she still just kept looking at herself. The dance from the neck down was really good, and occassionally I'd get a glance and smile, but for the most part, she'd stare.

Damn, I'd hate to think she was that repulsed by me, or that bored, or whatever. But no more dances from her in the future and I need to learn to cut my losses alot sooner.

And girls, if you find yourself staring at yourself more than the custy, maybe it's time to reevaluate your approach, unless there are guys that dig that.

    What Emily said...

Dancers are constantly scoping out the room, seeing who's arrived, looking for the next customer. A mirror is big tool for that - heck I use the mirrors myself to see what dancer is where and who's busy and who's not.

The best thing you can do if it bugs you is to try to find a spot away from the mirrors if possible.

cpeters, I think the point is that whether the dancer is looking at herself in the mirror or just scoping out what else is going on in the club, shes just working for a living trying to make a buck. Its unrealistic to expect her to be all into you during the dance. To the extent that a dancer can make you believe she is will make you feel better and want to spend more money. But never lose sight of the fact that its business and you are part of her income stream, nothing more.

I never look in mirrors. If a customer is paying for me, he's paying for ME. Not for me to look in a mirror to scope out other prospects. Which I can't anyway since all our rooms are private VIPS.

I was at an SC yesterday and quite a few dancers were looking at the mirror to evaluate themselves as they danced on the stage. When they're performing a personal table dance though, clearly it's neglectful.

When you've been in enough clubs, you can tell whether she's just taking a glance in the mirror, versus that "I am so bored I can't even look at this loser" expression that is a complete mood killer.

Besides, there are worse things a dancer can do. Like waste the first 30 seconds of your third lap dance song calling her boyfriend on her cell to see if he wants to go to a movie later. (True story unfortunately)

Now THAT is reason enough to forfeit her tip! Did you tip her?

On stage I could care less. But when I am paying for the time, she should be into me. I was watching her face and she was not scoping, she was looking at her own face, blank stare. Maybe too many drugs, maybe too many drinks, maybe she did not like me for whatever reason. You know what girls, if your custy is that repulsive that you feel compelled to stare in the mirror, do us a favor and move on, politely excuse yourself, whatever, why suffer for a few bucks and a pissed off custy. My mistake was assuming she'd warm up.

The next dancer I had that night was totally into me, or at least she did her job and made me believe it. I even told her about SW, so Kitty if you are reading this thanks for a great set of dances and welcome to SW.

I am totally cool with the occassional glance around the room. In fact, even better show me your ass, then I could care less what you are looking at.

Like I said, occasional glance is okay, this was beyond that. I know what we are all there for, and fortunately this was out of the ordinary.

Not for nothing, but it cracks me up when I hear from customers that the lady they danced with did one or more of these things, yet he continues to dance with and spend his money on her:

    - looked in the mirror instead of at him
    - actually picked up her cell phone when it rang
    - TALKED on the cell phone while giving a dance
    - talked to someone else in the lap dance room while dancing for him
    - looked around for her next "prospect"
    - had a blank or bored look on her face
    - made a phone call during your dance
    - overcharged you for your dances
    - took you to the topless room and charged you for nudes

I dont' get it. You have no cause to complain when you continue to patronize these ladies and allow them to get away with it time and time again. They do it because they can. When they stop making money off of treating you this way, they won't do it any longer.

Nope. Kind of sad too because aside from that interuption she was doing pretty good and could have sold me a few more dances. That simply killed things.

Then again, I guess I did tip her. She performed 2.8 songs and I paid her for three.

I had already agreed to the third song when she decided to call her boyfriend (and she was straddling me anyways, so its not like I could get up), so I felt that I was obliged to finish the song, although I would've been well within my rights to cut her off or at least demand 4-5 dollars back. Not wanting to make a scene and disrupt others in the room, I decided to be a gentleman and eat my relatively minor loss. After which, I cut her off cold turkey, no tip.

I do not come to the club to behave like an asshole, which is exactly what I would have come across to her, and everyone in that room had I raised my temper. I don't think its much to ask my entertainer to ackwoledge my presence of manners with a bit of professionalism.

I have plenty of cause to complain. Engaging in personal deeds during time which I am paying for is downright inexcusable. If a customer runs into enough gals who treat him like this, he may as well decide to quit buying dances, from everyone, and join the hord of beer nursers at the tiprail who aren't tipping.

Perhaps we could apply this "they do it because they can" mantra to that, but when you're the one on the receiving end of such behavior, it's not so easy to blow off, now is it?

I would occasionally catch a dancer doing the "scope around" look...mainly to locate the bouncer ( if she's going to be naughty, she wants to make sure she won't get caught).

I would say if it seems like she's not paying enough attention to you, find a way to bring her attention back to you; encourage her to be interactive. If she still feels like a cold fish, cut her loose at the end of the next song.

This is a peeve of mine also. Only lasts one dance for me, though.

people have a natural tendency to look in a mirror. I know I do and if something looks out of place I tend to look longer to fix it. nothing wrong with so chill.
