    Default Help blonde ladies!

So i decided to BLEEEEEch my hair this past weekend. And oh boy as i see in the sun and in pictures it went LIGHT. It does not look too good actually because it looks too damn bleached.

Does anyone know how to tone down bleached hair. I thought wtf i lost weight, have the hots for my ex again, and want to look good, different....But this is too much. I had layers around the front some. The back is still very long, but it's too much BLEACH!!!

I can't dye it darker, my poor hair, i swear i mess with it too much. I always had it very light, but this is LIGHT. Toner?

What do you do when it comes out white in alot of areas? Also the cam makes it look a tad lighter my roomie says...BS.

    HELP.

Light refracts off of light colors. Your going to have to go to a salon and get it low lighted - as I don't know of anyone that can foil their own hair. Tell them you want GOLD colors of blond.. NO ASH colors, ash might turn your hair green. Or you can find a friend girl that knows about hair and have her do it.

Gold will also warm your skin and make your eyes look more intense in their color. Personally I like the Marilyn look, it's very fetching on you. Then again I can't see it up close and personal.

Let us know how it turns out!

Thanks! I hate salons...But i will ask around for a person to tone my hair some...This is so not me, it just looks far too bleached...It's white in parts. I have other pictures in my gallery that i have over bleached as well. But not like this, my scalp is kinda sore....I used Loreal Super blonding...and left it on a little longer than i should have.

You're avatar does look really nice Pam Like Crow said the "Marilyn Monroe" look does suit you.
You might want to try a cellophane to even out your hair. They come in a variety of colors and pretty mild to the hair. Take care of your scalp, use aloe to help calm it.

    Good luck.

i agree...i think it look good. however, you don't...and that's what matters.

you said you don't want to dye your hair in fear of damaging it more?
you can get a rinse..there are many different types. i have one calling jazzing...or soemthing like that. it doesn't damage your hair, supposedly.

    here's a link to a description:
    http://www.bhbtrading.com/jazzing.html

if the link doesn't work, it says:
    Jazzing Hair Color by Clairol
No alcohol, No peroxide, No ammonia. Refreshes and Enhances Color, adds vibrant shine temporary or semi-permanent color results 18 translucent colors plus clear, gentle-can be used immediately after chemical services. Directions: Apply to dry hair in sections. ( Leave chemically-treated hair damp). Use protective cream around hairline. Keep Off Scalp. Temporary or color refresher: Process 5-10 minutes without heat, rinse, and shampoo. Semi-permanent: Cover hair with plastic cap. Process with heat up to 30 minutes, rinse, and shampoo. For Professional Use Only.

you can get it at sally's beauty supply. i have never seen them sold in any stores like target, walmart, cvs, rite aid, etc, though.

    good luck.

This sounds stupid and takes a few hours but it works for me. Hang out in a really smokey enviroment for a few hours! (I usually use my work place, lol.) Otherwise trya toner or rinse but seek advice about which is best to use because your hair will be super porus from the extreem bleaching!

In the uk its possible to buy a shampoo called silverkrin. Dont know if its available in the us but you might have something similar. Its a purple shampoo that sort of takes the brassiness out of blonde. Prob best to look for this in a salon shop.

Try to keep your hair covered as much as possible outside, to prevent further overlightening/sun damage. Hair sunscreens help a little, but are pretty limited as far as the strong sun goes. If you put another coloring product you may have to use a "filler" first. So the new product you put in, doesn't get green or do something weird to your hair. I would def. try to get someone experienced to help you, or at least give you some further advice, not to mention actually seeing your hair. This person, if they have a beautician's license, can also buy products you can't. Aphogee conditioner @ Sally's is great for damaged hair.

Thanks ladies i did it! I did lowlights, and also went under a hair dryer with some stinky goop on my hair to pull some blonde. YEP a damn salon. My hair feels like hay, but i will keep conditioner in it 24/7 for a week!!!

Never again. I still have some very blonde strands. But this colour i had looked like a damn wig that was left to me from some guys at a damn party last year....Shit.

Too blonde. The layers in the front i am letting grow out, as the back is very long. So, untill then...i wait.

    Thanks,

    Pamela

    Biolage matrix hair balm..

    Joico K-pac reconstruction treatment.

Infusium leave in treatment and conditioner for processed hair.

These are some really good conditioners. Also:

Basic sunflower detangler. It smells good and it is great for your hair - since it's so processed the less stress you can put it through the better. It can be bought, like the others mentioned above at stores like Trade Secrets and such.

    Hope this helps!
    R

Also, any of the go with shampoos and same conditioners work well.

If you want to deposit some more warm color into your hair, try the ArcTec naturals line. DO NOT use the purple, that will turn the platinum hairs purple. There is a golden tone called Sunflower actually, I believe. Don't leave it on more than 5 seconds, it doesn't work after that. It will put some golden tones in your hair if its still too blonde. I have the opposite problem, always some red and orange seeping in there.

I frosted my hair a long time ago and it turned white, so I put the Born Blonde Toner on it and it turned it a nice honey blonde. They come in several shades to put on just bleached hair. I think they are by Loreal, but not sure.

I looove your hair, and I miss my blondeness. *snif* I used to bleach my hair lighter too, and it's been grey, white and even pinkish for some reason... Which is why I never home-dye anymore. Hah of course I was like, 16. And now I have the root problem.....except I have blonde roots and my hair is like, this weird yet hot mix of blended blonde, brown and red....
