    Default The "Deadbeat Loser Boyfriend"

I've been reading forums like this for a couple months, and I always hear talk about the stereotypical "deadbeat loser boyfriend" who's unemployed and sits at home playing World of Warcraft while his girl goes out and strips to pay the bills and support him.

The question is, how do these guys get this job? Cause it seems like a pretty sweet gig.

So if any of you girls have the "Loser Boyfriend", how did you end up with him?

She doens't have to be a stripper.

just find any woman who doesn't think much of herself, play into her insecurities, make her feel like shit for what she does, and guilt her into supporting you to stay around.

That does sound like a sweet gig!

I've seen this happen tons. Promises, promises, promises. "Someday my band will be big. Someday my rave DJ job will take off, then we'll live in Europe." Even strippers, as harsh as the business is, are dreamers.
On that note. I woked with one of those, that supported her BF for 5 years, got tired, kicked him to the curb, then he really did become famous. I won't post his band here.

LOL.....it doesn't start that way and if the girl had any sense it wouldn't stay that way long....but it does happen, usually throw a few kids in there and they feel stuck....OMG...I am just thinking of how many girls I know that follow under this .....Jerry Springer!

lol... my SO is addicted to EQ right now....

But he still makes more money than me so I can't complain

My sister is the classic girl who is totally stuck on deadbeat losers.... and I have came to a theory about this kind of relationship... When people have co-dependencey issues then by bring the "primary" in the relationship it makes them feel that the loser BF wouldn't leave..... just an idea.

Hmmm...and no man has ever had a "deadbeat loser" girlfriend...

Oh, wait! We call those guys "Sugar Daddies," and some ladies who visit this very site actually seek them out! Funny, a man who takes care of a woman financially is a great catch, but a woman who does the same for a man has been taken advantage of...

I've seen a lot of this, which is really sad. What's also really sad is the "suitcase pimp," who is unemployed but tags along on the road for moral support if she tours. Either way, things get ugly when the guy starts getting accustomed to the good income. At first he encourages her to work a little harder to pay the bills, then it's like, "Bitch, we've get a house and vehicles to pay off! Work it!"

This one girl whom I used to work with had a deadbeat boyfriend who would call her a whore for stripping, but didn't want her to go back to school b/c it would affect his standard of living.

I was a deadbeat loser gf for a minute but then realized having my own money was better than alot of things in this world!

I agree its not just strippers although we hear about it more on here than in the real world where MANY women succomb to loser-boyfriendom. Ive gotten close to that but pinched my ass so I woke up and dumped him. I didnt want to be one of "those" girls; Im too many other things right now anyways.

I know a couple of strippers with deadbeat SO's but most have husbands/BF's who go to work every day etc. I imagine the percentage in stripperdom is about the same as in other walks of life.

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

Well.....my boyfriend IS addicted to his computer games....but he also works about 60 hours a week. O_o
I work about 30... and I still make half of what he does haha. He isn't so much of a deadbeat as a hot nerd. You'd look at him and never suspect it. He's "retired" from football and so god damned good looking that I have to beat girls who try and get on him. Yah I am a jealous weeyotch hah.

I think the song tells us that "you gotta know when to hold 'em, you gotta know when to fold 'em".

    She folded too soon.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

I have several male friends who have had DEADBEAT, LAZY, LOSER, girlfriends... and sadly, women have it much easier to be able to get with a guy and take advantage.. as I always have said, "Pussy rules"

Haha yeah, I'm a mean biyatch when it comes to defending my territory. At college last year, this chick with a w-i-d-e ass grabbed my bf's package!! and somehow thought he wouldn't tell me....I walked past her and gave her the hugest shoulder check right into the wall. Buahaha

Ha! Yeah good "pussy" seems to be more powerful medicine to keep a guy around than "a "big dick" to keep a gal around...

Losers are losers no matter what sex or financial stability they have...seems like a rather trollish question to me. There are probably guys out there who are not working or are making less than their gf...but might be playing "mister mom" while the gf is out there shaking it and hustling to pay the bills.....I don't know this, of coutse....I'm a single mom....just like lots of us are. LOL...I don't know what else to say

Not THIS stripper. I've only dated one deadbeat musician, but I never gave him a penny. He would actually call his mom to wire him money so he could take me out and buy me gifts, hehe.

But yes, the stereotype isn't all that unfounded in an industry where cash is king and the originally underpriveleged flourish. It also depends on the city, in my experience. I saw it often in Houston, which is kind of ghetto, but not as much here in Austin.
