haha ya........use soap or shaving cream get it real soapy and use a good razor and be gentle
Don't shave against the grain. Shave with it or side to side. It leaves a little bit of stubble, but not much. I think there's some stuff called Coochie that's good. Or, I hear it is. Stop using your lady bic, or your boyfriend's Mach3. Get something like a Sensor Excell with moisture blade.
I started using softsoap brand body wash and havn't had any problems....
What works for me is soaking in a hot bath for a while...always shave the coochie with a brand new blade...and do the cooch before doing legs/arms/etc.
Using a good shaving cream...I like Aveeno.
There is info on body business about this.
You should go to www.tendskin.com. This stuff is absolutely great, I use it and it works wonders.

I second Aveeno, I discovered it a few years back and still use it to this day. Also for bumps, i try to shave as less often as possible, i notice that if i shave everyday i will be infested with red bumps skipping days helps me to not have that many bumps.

gyno told me to never shave against the grain or whatever it's called.
some people SWEAR that deoderant works.

I make sure that I pull the skin down there so it is tight (if that makes sense). That hair grows in a million different directions so I shave up down left and right. After I get out of the shower I use my goyfriends after shave gel (Gillette Gel) it stings at first but leaves no redness and gets rid of bumps. I also use Mach 3 razors which I LOVE.
yea.. im a big fan of aveeno too. I think its the vanilla scent more then anything though!
DEODORANT, definitely! Soak yourself and your razor in a hot bath for a few minutes, then shave. When you get out of the tub, dry off and apply lotion, then immediately follow up with the deodorant. I use Dove for sensitive skin, works like a charm. I used to get razor burn all the time and haven't gotten it at all since I started with the deodorant.

I put witch hazel on it afterwards and it makes the red bumps look less red and the bumps go down but not that much. It kinda burns though eventhough I dont apply it anywhere near the lips. I use Dove soap and get a good lather up. Im also looking for better ways to get rid of the redness.
Ill have to give that Aveeno stuff a try then.

I've never heard the deodorant thing, but I'll have to give that a try!

I shave with oilive oil (which is also great for your skin if you add some to your bath water, and great for your hair if you let it sit in for about an hour before washing... once a week). I use either Neosporin or deoderant afterwards.

i use baby oil -- let it soak into my skin and hot water...to get it all soft then use shaving cream ontop and a brand new razor -- it works for me.

thanks ladies! I'll give the Aveeno a shot!!
