    Default Floor Dance Help

Hi guys I just started dancing about a month ago and only did it for two weeks b/c I didn't like the 3 hour drive and my ex bitched about not being able to spend time with me. Now that were split up I wanted to start dancing again...my first night is tonight. In that time I was a dancer I learned and grasped many pole tricks but the main area i need help is floor shows...If any one could give some advice I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks!

Its hard the explain online what to do during a floor show. Do girls do alot of floor shows at your club? I would start with S-Factor book to learn a bit of the basics. Im not sure but maybe Pole Tricks 101 would have some floor shows in the videos.

Are there any videos that specifically concentrate on floor work?

    www.poletricks101.com

The S-factor book you can probably buy at your local chained bookstore such as Barnes and Noble or maybe even Borders. Ive seen the book at B&N. For the videos go to www.sfactor.com

She incorporates some floor worrk but I dont think shes goes into great detail on it?

For floor help, I would just watch what the other girls do...make sure u are really flexible...

If not, visit a BIG bikini or wet Tshirt contest where the girls dance, they usually do moves considered "floor work".

    Good Luck

Pole Tricks 101 doesn't have any floor work. It's strictly pole, and serious pole at that. Pantera is amazing! HOWEVER, good ol' Fawnia has a great floor work video. It's called 'Dance Moves and Floor Work', lol.

You can check it out at:http://www.exoticdanceschool.com/female.php

You can buy it from Fawnia's site or Ebay. There are quite a few of her videos floating around, but I'm not sure that the prices are any better.

I haven't watched this video in a while, but I do think I learned a decent amount from it. S Factor's a love it or hate it kinda thing. I guess she has some decent moves, but IMHO they look too much like exercise (like sexy yoga), rather than really sexy dancing...

For my money, I like Fawnia much better.

And, like the other poster said, watching girls dance is probably better, but I'm a 'bookworm' type, so I've got the 411 on all the videos, lol.

Honestly, I think your best luck is to just get on the floor and see what works. Watch other girls for ideas, and then just go with it. I didn't really even do floorowkr for my first while and just now I'm starting to appreciate how I can use it to be hot AND fill time.
