    from Phedre:

    >Where did that come from? How are you relating it to dancing and spirituality? >Are you a dancer? Are you quoting scripture directly from a bible? What bible?

    >No one asked to be saved or heard by God as far as I can tell, so I am utterly >confused by your post.

    >Where did that come from?
    I wrote it.

    >How are you relating it to dancing and spirituality?

on page 3 of this topic, Angel1112 said
"i have accepted his Son Jesus Christ as my LORD and savior......the only way to the Father is through his Son Jesus Christ....there is no other way."
    and tampadancer replied:
"If there is only one way to God, and that is through Christ, what happens to the people of the world who have never "heard the word of God" or had the opportunity to "accept Jesus into their hearts"?"

I was giving an answer to tampadancer on behalf of some Christians. Perhaps Angel1112 would like my answer; perhaps not. Lots of Christians don't think very much about that question, and some that do just figure God will straighten everything out in the end and they don't know how God will do it and that is OK.

    >Are you a dancer?
    No.

    >Are you quoting scripture directly from a bible? What bible?

At the end of my post, I quoted two verses from Romans 10, in the NIV (New International Version.) Romans is a book of the Bible found in the New Testament; it was written by Paul. You can read Romans 10, if you don't have a Bible at home, by going to biblegateway.com and putting in Romans 10 into the search box. All the Christians of various kinds I know regard Romans as scripture. Those believing Jews who are not Christian don't. Faithful Jews regard as scripture the books Christians normally call the Old Testament, but which they call the Tanakh. In the case of Romans 10:18-20, it doesn't matter much, because Paul was quoting from the Tanakh, and so even Jews would have to believe or at least consider what Paul was saying.

However, when I quoted Romans 10, I added the words found between the symbols [ and ]. Here is Romans 10:18-20 in the KJV (King James Version).

18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. 20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

    >No one asked to be saved or heard by God as far as I can tell, so I am utterly >confused by your post.

I offered an answer to a theological objection raised by tampadancer to the faith expressed by angel1112.

re the morality of dancing, further:

I read many books of NDE accounts and discussion. In one book there was a paragraph about a woman who had been a prostitute and nearly died. Afterwards, she continued to "work" as a prostitute, but "dry" rather than wet. That is, she provided care and sexual contact, but without the exchange of body fluids. (Maybe she just did full-body erotic massage, or maybe the prostitution did not include intercourse or oral sex; the book didn't specify.) She said that a lot of people just needed someone to listen to them and to care about them. Stripping, dancing, &/or prostitution can be done in moral ways and can be done in immoral ways. If a stripper has the point of view that she cares about everybody and hopes that everybody cares about everybody else, stripping should be moral conduct for her. If a stripper deceives a customer to get his money while not providing someone thing promised or offered, it would be immoral, I think.

Has anyone read a book: the purpose driven life, By Rick Warren!
There's a line in it, that says: " God, does not judge , you for what you're doing in your life . He judges you, for who you are!"

Yep, I read the book. I actually had a hard time staying "into" the book because I would go look at my other religious books as I was reading it. It is worth reading if you like to read religious or "self help" books.
