it could be both.Sometimes you really need the motivation to start conversations w/ strangers. There's definitely some downsides to this job. However, I enjoy the dancing part the most and I would say most of the times is a fun experience.

    I love music.
    i love to dj.
Being in a strip club is getting both of those, but like its being inside of an art gallery, featuring my favorite artists works, while i do it.

i was in awe when i got here and it hasnt worn off in the decades i have been here.

There is NO better job a man could have in his youth, and in my aged state,im still going to have to be dragged out(evi-fuckin-dently cause i cant seem to retire and keep commin back),and they better bring all the doorstaff when they do it,to include the housemom.

    I aint going out easy.

I have met the best people in the world swimming thru this sewer.

Everytime i think i wont find another special turd floating to the top,I find another.

Its more then fun,its a lifestyle and an adventure.

To me the word fun is a little broad of a question. So, to me its fun when I have money, have a new outfit to sport, meet a respectful customer, or have a ton of fun on stage to my favorite set. All that aside ...its a job and I have to stay focused no matter what.

Most people are better at their jobs when they enjoy doing them. That can be a challenge at any job, no matter how enjoyable it was at first, if you do it long enough.

When I first started I had a blast.. I LOOOOVED my job.. I made money and good money.. never had money issues, always had a great time and always loved going to work..

After a few years, and a few broken bones, and concussions and accidents (from pole work) and working so much to the point of burn out.. it lost its lustre.

Sometimes it can be just a job like everything else. Everyone hates their job at some point, only in this business, reasons for hating it can go from some dude puking on you to your things being rummaged through, to shitty management, bad attitude dj's. Important thing to remember is that attitude is everything.. you can't control what happens to you, you control how you deal with it.. and more times than any, the shittiest night ever, I'd be found laughing my ass off at something..

It's fun on a good day. Work on a bad day.

Mostly, yeah, it can be fun.

    Gynger had some great points.

I was in a club in Portland, OR a few nights ago and had a blast. I soooooo wanted to go onstage! I didn't, but the dancer we were spending most of our money on asked if I missed it, since I told her I had recently retired.

I told her the truth: I miss performing, but I don't miss most of the clients and I don't miss managerial BS.

I had some FUN FUN FUN last night dancing. It was one of those nights were everyone was in a good mood, not a single guy said NO to me, and no gropers. If every night was like that.......

But the times when the club is dead and you are stuck dancing for octopus boy because he is the only one buying...then its miserable and can lead a poor girl into having to take many shots of Patron.

I started lingerie modeling (a related endevour much more like stripping than real modeling) wehn I was 18 or 19, and have done every type of exotic dancing since then--bachelor parties, peep shows, gentlemens clubs, lap dance bars . . . . .

I have left the business 3 or 4 times and always come back. I absolutely love it, even though the club where I curently work has no stage. I love doing pole work though, and someday I am going to have my own pole. (Currently, the only room in my house that is not stuffed with furnature has a 14-foot ceiling, so I have to either clean out a room or buy a new house first!)

Dancing is the most fun job you can have, if you are the right type of person for it. Granted, it is not for everybody. (Bear in mind, my other "most fun ever" job was being an emergency room tech, participating in doomed-to-failute recesitations, drying out drunks, battling psycho cases, and wrapping up failed recesitations. So no, I am not your average person!)

I would not do this if nobody paid me, as I saw one stupid chick doing last night. Getting the money as I go along is part of the fun. However, since I do have to work, this is where I choose to be. LIke Big Green, when my time comes to finally leave, they will have to drag me kicking and screaming to the door. ANd got help them if they try to do it while I have me shoes on!

You go, KAT! I had that kind of night, too. I found my high roller, and for the rest of the night I was GOLDEN!! I had a line forming for dances.

Was the moon really huge and bright where you are, too? I am convinced that the lunar cycle has something to do with custy behavior.

    Oops . . . . wandering off topic again !

i auditioned at a strip club when i was 18. that's been five years. it wasn't very crowded. i went totally nude. and it was weird being naked on a stage in front of strangers. and now that i look back i can't beleive i was brave enough to do it. i had so much fun. but that was only one time. i didn't have to deal with all the stuff you girls deal with on a daily basis. i wouldn't do it now. but i still think it's a pretty cool profession, from the sidelines it looks like a blast. i havn't been to a strip club in about a year. i don't get out much. i'm not gay {nothing wrong with being gay, i'm pro gay-marriage} but i think everyone likes to look at hot chicks. so what do you ladies think about female customers? do they weird you out? and do any of you get turned on by dancing? sorry if ask too many questions...just curious.

It's a fun job. The more fun I have, the more $$$ I make (no I am not an extras girl !!)
Then again, the more $$$ I make, the more fun I have.
    It's a cycle.

mostly it is just a job. it can be fun at times, and it can be very trying at other times. it all depends on the day, who you're working with, who walks in the door, etc.

It's the most fun I'VE ever had for a job. But, that has to do with the flexibility and money most of all.
