    Default BTK Killer Sentenced

This is not a Political post but a Public Service post. This man claims he could not control himself and has shown a degree of "remorse" for him crimes. This is BS of course. Croc-o-dile tears. He wouldn't give back all those years of lording over terrified citizens for anything. Like Hannibal Lecter said, you can't put him in moral training pants. He is EVIL.
I hope all of you will consider, when voting time rolls around, supporting canidates who support tougher sentencing and better victim's advocacy laws.

Ridiculous. He doesn't even know what remorse is. So great, he gets off with only LIFE in prison. Free ride, courtesy of taxpayers (that includes ALL of his victims' families.)

    Sick bastard.

Life in prison is better than a decade on death row followed by a quick exit. Sorry guys, i don't buy that 'ultimate punishment' line of crap (The DP stopped being 'ultimate punishment' when they stopped boiling people alive, breaking them on the wheel, or burning them at the stake). PLENTY of people would rather open their own veins than spend the rest of their lives in 23 hour lockdown and having to watch their asses all the time. Life in Prison is WORSE than the Death Penalty. I'd FAR rather die than sit in stir the rest of my life. I'd hardly call that getting off easy.

I don't like that people have to pay for him, though.

The Ancient Greeks used a particularly nasty method of execution... A hollow bull was made out of bronze. The condemned was put inside it and roasted to death. THAT'S ultimate punishment.

Sorry Madcap, gotta disagree with you here. Good people die everyday from cancer, car accidents, etc.......why should BTK get three hots and a cot at taxpayer expense? Many killers (Richard Speck, Nightstaker Richard Ramirez, Scott Peterson, AD NAUSEAM) live it up on death row/ life sentence......watching TV, having women court them by mail (sick sad world) breathing, thinking, etc....(in Speck's case, f*cking other inmates, smoking crack,....all good fun...for a maggot.)
Think about the last moments of murder victims' lives. I'd bet you money all were thinking of their loved ones, praying the ones left behind would have the strength to live with what the killer was doing to them. ALL.
I have no words for what I feel for killers like this.

Yep, I disagree too. I couldn't give a shit less what kind of exit he makes, as long as it's an exit. True, death is too kind for him, but living in jail is NOT torture. They have cable, they have a nice toasty cot, all the comforts of home only they're locked up.

If the guy could actually show remorse, I'd feel a bit different. That would mean that being in jail for life would actually bother him. But HE DOES NOT CARE.

I didn't catch the interview that they had with him a couple weeks back, but I remember hearing how sinister his smile was when he was recounting the details of his victims' last moments. He ENJOYED every last breath they took, knowing that he had full control over them, and HE decided how long they had left to live.

Now it's time for someone to decide how long HE will live.

Um, Richard Speck got turned into a prison bitch... That's some serious friggin torture, there...

Richard Ramirez was a prisoncase from the word "go." He was built for it, and destined to go that way just by his personality alone. Oh, and Richie Ramirez was found guilty on 20 September, 1989 and try as i might i can't google the date he was executed. He was alive to be married () in 1996, though, and i found another site that said he wasn't scheduled to be executed until "after 2000." So he sat on death row for AT LEAST a decade. Someone getting sentanced to death doesn't mean squat. Someone getting sentanced to death doesn't mean he won't have three hots and a cot for years on end or that anyone won't have to pay for him or that they'll even ever manage to make it to that gurney/chair/chamber/what-have-you (a lot can happen in ten years). Again, though, if Ramirez was executed, i think i'd have found a link to a page that said when so he may even still be alive.

Stuff like this is only fast tracked if the person REALLY fucked up and managed to piss off the whole country, like Timothy McVeigh.

Plus, Jeffrey Dahmer only lasted a couple of years inside before some nutcase whacked him so BTK might not be sucking air all that long (thought he might be sucking something else for a while). He's going to one fucked up place, after all. I'm more concerned with him being off the streets.

Considering he's so into power and control, i wonder how he'll like his cellmate bending him over on a nightly basis. He was a glorified dogcatcher, i doubt he'll be able to fight off some of the people he'll be locked up with. They won't be unsuspecting sleeping women he can just have his way with.

One of the many reasons I love Russians was the speedy dispatch of "Citizen X" (a notorious child rapist/killer) by one. Gunshot.
I love America, but good people live in fear here because our justice system is toothless.
I SAW hidden camera video of Richard Speck being interviewed (on "Donahue")...he appeared happy and bragged he was having a better time on the inside than he could on the outside!
Tim McVeigh was CRAZY...tinfoil hat extra chromosome crazy. The crappy part was he had Gore Vidal stooged (Vidal was writing articles defending him.) That was a congruence of dementia and demented man acting out together for attention. Still, Tim McVeigh knew right from wrong. (Let's not even get started on the Nichols brothers.)
But anyway, death happens to us all. Call capital punishment selective retroactive therapy.

Yeah, but how is it retroactive if it takes 20 years? Great, so BTK can get his needle in 2025. Hell, i don't even know if I'LL be alive in 2025!

The appeals process has to be changed. YES I know innocent people have been cleared of charges that put them on death row. Other aspects of the death penalty process can be changed. People have to demand it. "The only thing evil needs to triumph is for good people to do nothing!"
EX: the Marcus Wesson mass murder case in Fresno CA. I DEFY anyone to contest that death penalty. You know why CA has a death penalty? We have the craziest killers. The Zodiac Killer was never caught. Charles Manson still lurks, spouting nonsense. Scott Peterson was just a dumb dumb sh*t. A crackhead used his baby as human shield in a LAPD shootout with piss-poor results (Watts, a few weeks ago.) The main thing these aforementioned people have in common is that they hurt and killed others with no regard to the consequences, AND they all lived in sunny CA.
With stuff like that happening frequently, I'm surprised there aren't vigilante mobs roaming up and down the freeways.

Should've gotten 10 death sentences. I agree with the Ron White frame of mind - If you murdered someone (first degree/capital), and one or more people saw you do it, you don't wait 10 years, you go right to the front of the line. I don't know how any judge or jury could accept the fact that he got life after listening to those families. Especially from the one man who is left after the rest of his family was murdered while he listened.

    ^Totally agree, Shan.

I think when a death sentence is given (as it should have been in this case), it should be carried out right there. No wait.

A death sentence in a contested trial with a viable question of guilt or innocence is even more reason for appeals. We would have a lot of innocent people executed. I know how prosecutors work.

To me, the burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt is a good one for conviction. Then there should be an additional level of proof in the penalty phase if you want to kill the defendant - proof beyond shadow of a doubt. It's only fair to go through that, since you're trying to kill the defendant. If there's any doubt that the defendant did it, revert to life imprisonment.

In this case, although I haven't followed it, there doesn't appear to be any doubt whatsoever. Shoot him, kick him in a hole, cover him up, and move on.

ok folks, i will probably be banned from the site for this comment, but, i think we are missing an opportunity here! give more people life sentances. put them in prison. take away there rights, they dont deserve them, and let them do some good!

we need to test new drugs and medical devices on something, why not use them? give a lifer aids, then test the drugs out on him. put in a pace maker and see if it functions well and for how long. try out new implantable materials to see if they cause cancer, then test cancer treatments to see if they work?

it would be real life not on lab mice, bunnys and monkeys. and it would be for the good of man. i dont know why animal rights activist dont jump all over this idea. and i bet you couldnt find 1 victim family memebr that would be against it.

and i know some people think that this would be cruel and unusual punishment and it would be like the german experiments at the death camps. but i dont believe that. these people that got the death penalty or life have forfited there life and rights by the crimes they commited, they werent just rounded up and dragged off for experimentation or slaughter.

im sorry i feel once you commit a crime that is punishable by the death penalty or life in prison, you then should be come a mass of biological tissue that is owned by the us goverment. heck i think they all should be orgin donars if they have some that can be donated!

This is why I am not a big fan of the death penalty. From boothill in Tombstone, AR.

It is all sweet revenge until the wrong person gets caught up in the grinding gears of justice.

The reality of it really sinks when when you are standing at the foot of that grave.

Oh.. I don't mean to get on your case but...

There are a lot more people in the world living in fear of their government than there are people in the US living in fear of crime.

When a sick fuck like this or Jeffery Dahmer, Manson, etc. is proven, admits it, there's a wealth of evidence behind the quilty verdict...well then that person should just go right to the head of the line, get the needle and be rid of them. No more taxpayers expense on them. And it would free up space in jails for criminals that don't get the dealth penalty.

Prison is already full of AIDs and Hep C.

    Further more...

It would be pretty damn hard to keep control groups when they can't even keep the prisoner's from throwing piss and shit on the guards.

In case anyone hasn't been keeping up, the only reason that BTK didn't receive a death sentence was because we didn't have a death penalty here until 1994. His last known murder was in 1991. Beleive me, we've had slueths in Wichita and all surrounding counties (including mine) taking a hard look at unsolved murders this side of 1994. He got the maximum sentence allowed under state statute at that time. Nobody "got off" with anything.

Needless to say, I'm glad that there wasn't a trial (this would have been like OJ or Scott Peterson in my own back yard), and since there isn't going to be an execution, I'm hoping that this ghoul's name soon becomes a distant memory. I think he deserves to die but since a death sentence wasn't handed down we're not going to have to deal with a media circus regarding eleventh hour appeals. I remember when I lived in Nebraska they were preparing to execute their first inmate in over three decades, the process got so irritating that 48 Hours made an episode about it, then made a follow up a couple of years later.

Unfortunately, the local bookstore is already filing up with BTK books, and there is rumor about of a BTK movie, not to mention American Justice, Court TV, yada, yada, yada. So I won't hold my breath. Think of how many times they bring up Charles Manson, or Ted Bundy, the latter of whom was executed.

I say let him rot, (or at least put him in general population and see how long he survives).

Hopefully he'll find his way into a very violent prison community and justice will find him the same way it found Dahmer.

I totally disagree with giving death row inmates the needle. WTF? Cruel and unusual punishment? Why is it that these merciless killers and child rapists get more consideration than the innocent people they sodomized, tortured, and killed? I say we should bring back the chair. And, when someone is committed of multiple murders...you throw the switch on them that many times. Shock them...bring em back...shock em again...bring em back...we'll see how much fun the sick fuck has at that time.

Needles are for putting things we love out of misery. Not for giving the DRI an "easy way out".

I think that someone is going to kill him while he's in prison. While they're mostly murderers and drug dealers...they don't look kindly on people who rape and murder little children...I give him no more than 2 years. Hopefully it'll be less than that.

Take him into a room, tie him to a post. have all the victims families come and torture the fuck out of him. And if he is still conscious, have some rats or other creative flesh eating thing have a go at him starting from the feet up.
