Default Lunar cycle and custy behavior

I have been convinced for years that there really is something to the theory that the full moon affects customer behavior. Not jsut in strip clubs, but in any kind of retail business. When I worked at Radio Shack, I alwas knew if it was going to be a full moon that night by the way the custys acted during the day.

I always seem to have the craziest experiences in the week that has the full moon. This past Thursday, for example, a custy tipped me in CHEESE. (not as weird as it sounds, considering the circumstances, but still pretty darn unusual!)

But I also seem to make a lot of money in full moon week. Interesting.

What about eerybody else? Do y ou find that the full moon affects your money and/or custy behavior? In what way?

    Colleen

If people act bizzare with a full moon then they just might behave like wackos this month!!! Why?

The Red Planet is about to be spectacular!

This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again.

The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye.

Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m.

By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.

NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN!!

I'm not sure of time zones on this but I do know that for some reason the moon and planetary events such as this do affect people's behavior, almost like people come down with a form of PMS of the cosmos...LOL

I was sebnt the above in an e-mail to give me a "heads up" since Mars is the god of war. A friend of mine said that because Mars is going to be so close to earth that she expects an increase in aggressive and violent behavior. She also told me to guard my tongue as Mars may "influence" me to want to argue and fight with those around me....**gulp**

    We'll see....

Susan. You got the erroneous chain letter late. That was last year, and besides the 35 million is WRONG. If it were 35Megamiles, the tides would have been big news.

Besides it is too early in the season for Wolfbane.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

been there, done that as an RT. There's absolutely no denying the fact that the full moon affects people in strange ways, and affects people who were strange to start with in VERY strange ways.

I'm a Radiologist for the National Guard. I work at night occasionally as support for the ER...there is DEFINITELY somthing to be said for the full moon...people get hurt more, if that isn't any indication for higher levels of stupidity, I don't know what is!

That explains why that one guy tipped me in IcyHot. >_o

(actually it was a sweet thing because he's a regular and knew I had hurt my back badly so brought some in to make me feel better)

All I can say is that I was pregnant (2 weeks overdue) through a full moon...and NOTHING!! It was another week gone by before I had my daughter. LOL

But, yeah...moon cycles totally affect everybody.

My other job is at a vet clinic...every full moon we brace ourselves for the crazy emergencies: hit-by-car dogs and cat fight victims...it's nuts. We've always noticed a huge difference.

I go out in the back yard during the full moon and, if I have not gotten sex in two days, I howl at the moon. Until all the neighbors' lights go on or the mosquitos win.

Colleen, you worked at Radioshack? You really are a trooper. Stripping, Army, College, Customer Service for the Maladjusted...if you want a job done right, give it to a redhead! (Wink!)
    I like Melonie's summation of Luna-tic behavior.
IMHO bars attract those types all year round....

My favorite was a woman whom called 911 and while we were getting the radio report of them letting us know what they are bringing in.... " 32yr old women, claimed to have been chased and attacked by a squirrel" We all looked at each other and asked them to repeat themselves thinking maybe we had miss heard it.... yup... it was a squirrel....

:Maxine: I have done a TON of things in my life. Being a dancer is almost the only thing I have ever really liked, wich is why I keep coming back and refuse to give up.

    Venus: Here is the story:

There is a butcher (really, a guy who cuts up and sells meat) who has a shop on the north side of Chicago. He calls himself G. I. Joe. He drums up a lot of business by going into bars and handing out free samples, then handing out business cards and even selling some products right there to whomever would like them. He is not pushy and does not solicit sales, jsut when somebody asks "where can I get more of this" he always has some handy. Just to complete the picture, G. I. Joe is close to 7 feet tall, about 50 yers old, still has all his thick black hair and Magnum P. I. mustache. He alwys wears a sparkling clean white butcher coat, a black t-shirt, and cammoflage pants with combat boots.

I have known Joe almost 10 years. He came into the bar Thursday to pass around some samples, and I asked for some smoked cheese. He brought it in for me while I was giving a backrub (my standard sales pitch) and told me it costs $10. Just as I was going for my purse, the custy grabbed his walet and paid for the cheese for me. He also bought a dance, so I jsut considered the cheese a tip.

I have been tipped in pills (Keep it guys. It would be wsated on me anyway.), drinks, bad advice and dumb looks before, but never in . . . . CHEESE!

Colleen! The cheese story reminded me of some guy who tipped one of our girls with cheese too,but he actually put a piece of it inside of the dollar and it melted. At least your guy had it in some package. It was very gross when we saw it,but made us laugh.BTW this happened during the full moon too.I strongly believe also that it affects people's behaviour.
