    Default Low Calorie Beverages

Random question for all dancers (or whoever wants to answer). I used to drink Schirnoff Ice at work because we are not allowed to drink beer. Anyways... I was online this morning and looked up the nutritiational information and found out each 12 oz bottle contains 228 calories. I could not believe it when I read that, anyway obviously now I am looking for a new low calorie alcoholic drink to have while working and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I like vodka with diet tonic. A lot of bars don't have diet tonic water though.

Alcohol is pretty caloric. Do you really want an alcoholic drink every time? You could make an arrangement with the bartender to give you something that looks alcoholic but isn't. Like you order a "rum and coke" but they just give you a diet coke with a lime in it. That way the customer thinks you're drinking with them but you aren't getting any calories and you stay clear-headed!

Bacadi & Diet Coke has 110 calories, I believe.

Yekhefah, I dont' work in a bar that serves drinks anymore, but when I did, that's what I used to do.

LOL, Tampa, you are so right. Bacardi & Coke is pretty good, especially with a lime, but something about that nasty Diet Coke aftertaste just kills it for me. Still, at least it's not as sugary. Although the artificial sweeteners are probably just as bad for you.

Here's an idea... when I was waitressing, I had a little kid ask me once, in a very fancy attempt at a British accent, for a "virgin martini, shaken, not stirred." It was hilarious. I brought him a martini glass full of water with an olive in it and he loved it. This might be another good one for the club; martinis look very classy and you can't see the difference between gin/vodka versus water in a dark club.

I once worked with a girl who was really obsessed with calories. Like, borderline OCD... She had an arrangement with the bartenders that she would always order drinks that are clear, vodka, etc... anything clear, and they would serve her soda water.
