    Default yeah, this sucks

i couldn't go in today. i just couldn't do it. not only do i have bad cramps, but the thought of wasting my day sitting at a bar waiting for customers to come in just wasn't doing it for me.

i don't know what to do! i love dancing. i love being on stage. i love hustling and talking to customers. i just can't do the day shift thing.

what should i do? find another club? i got a real 9-5 type job, which starts next week, so i won't be able to do day shift after this week. thank god. is night shift better?

i just can't go in and sit there for eight hours and make $40 again.

depends on the club, at my club dayshift tends to do better. it's a bikini bar where i work though, so during the day we get a lot of guys on break from work or hiding from their family on their day off. it's slow right now where i work too. ask the other day shift girls if it used to be better maybe? because right now is kind of "slump time" everywhere from what i hear. i worked a monday a few weeks ago and came home with 8 bucks. i was freaking LIVID. i've also had a few 30-40 dollar days recently do to lack of customers. it sucks.

i just wanted to add that it also starts to effect your mood. i've noticed that on days like that, the longer the day goes by without any money making its way into my garter the more irritable and sometimes pushy i get. it also seems that a lot of cheap-os have been around lately. a lot of guys just sitting and watching the stage without tipping. man that pisses me off, esp. on slow days. i feel like i'm working for free.

Get jobs at multiple clubs, and insist on only working nights.

    But don't tell anyone. ANYONE.

Yea most places night shift is better but it all depends on alot of things. Have you worked a night shift there yet? If so and you liked it by all means you might be in better position to learn to hustle better.

I started out alot of evenings 5pm-12am deal and loved....I could always have someone to talk to. Rather than day shift there where you had to have a great hustle...b/c when the guy is the only one there he knows hes going to be approached by a few dancers if not all.

Yea work several clubs just dont tell each club you work some other club. Some clubs dont like that. Tell them your coming back from a break or something and try to get nights.

    Just my 2 peso's.

If your going to work multiple clubs, dont do it in the same town,if you have to do it at all.

In many clubs,it can get you fired or a big fat fine.(a club here will fine you 1000 for working at a different club)
Its always another girl who busts on you or a custie that goes to different clubs alot.
Alot of girls try to do it,most get cought.

Be sure the risk is worth the possible loss.

If your not makin what you deserve, try out another club with the intention of swaping clubs, not working both sides of the fence, its going to burn you in the ass at one if not both clubs in the end,it always does, and its never at a time when its best for you.

Try talking to the manager to get better shifts if thats it,or just flat out tell them, there isnt enough money here for my taste, fix this problem or im leaving.(after you already have a club to go to of course)

well just for perspective, in my town, there are two clubs, lots of dancers work at both of them.

    Lol

Ok dont take this wrong,no offense intended.

Im guessing these are not big clubs.

If it were a top club or a chain club, and only two clubs in one town,no way would they share them.

It sounds to me like you have two very small clubs that cant get alot of girls,so they share them,or one guy owns both clubs.

Sharing entertainers happens, just not that often anymore, specially in mid to top level and chain clubs,it just doesnt make alot of good business savey to me.

I don't think this is common in cities where there are many clubs; I know that it's pretty common for dancers to work in multiple clubs in a lot of areas. This is probably only an issue in cities where there are only a couple of clubs.

A lot of girls here move around between clubs, and no one seems to say much. It's a very laid back club I'm at now too...I've been so ill all week and even though I'm new, they haven't cared that I keep calling in sick. Our club actually does just as well days as nights because we're in a business / hotel area with lots of bored businessmen looking to either have a cheap lunch with naked women or to get over jetlag. There are also only about 4-7 dancers during the day, compared to 30+ at night (we have to unfortunately go on stage all the time during the day, but the customer to dancer ratio is high). I've been working some nights and some days, and I find with all the variables, the earning is basically the same.
