Nemoy actually did a sound bite in the song Pure Energy,i think its by information society.
Has nothing to do with space.
What kind of music??
Rock or r/b??
First thing that pops to mind is Monster Magnet-space lord.
If you got a good dj,i would get the song from when kirk and spock were fighting with the pugel sticks and use it as a sound bite.
will try to think of more strange ones
Shatner's classic(ly terrible) rendition of ?
Before you click on that link, take these two things into consideration...
1. Do not watch this alone! Like any other emotional trauma, the support of friends is crucial to survival. By the end, you will either want to climb a steeple with a rifle, or go into the garage and start the car.
2. Do not operate while unimpaired. An altered level of consciousness can cushion your psyche. I tried it straight, but within ten seconds I was forced to seek the companionship of my foamy 12 ounce friends.

I was not expecting there to be so very many songs to choose from. THANKS SO MUCH, the help is muchly appreciated
I'm now on the hunt to find all this stuff.
Isn't there an old "Rocket Man" by Elton John?
Wasn't there "I wanted to be a space man" by Nilsson?
"Space Oddity" by David Bowie?
Spinoff "Major Tom - Coming Home" by Peter Schilling?
"Thus Spake Zaruthustra" by Strauss, theme to 2001 Space Odyssey? (might be hard to dance to, perhaps)
"Set Your Controls For the Heart of the Sun" by Pink Floyd? Or "Interstellar Overdrive," same group?
Trivia confession: There were actually lyrics to the old "Star Trek" theme song, and I read them once, and was never able to forget them. Talk about your useless attic items.

I think thats the original version actually.Originally Posted by Jay Zeno

If you wanted to nail the 35+ crowd to thier chairs, and you could pull it off(its sloooowww).i bet this song would work well.
why not try the theme song from enterpise (star trek series) it's a good song and danceable. just a thought... Hubby's a trekie and thats what i would dance to.

Captain! I've found something I think it ----------ARRRRRRRGGH.
Most of the Star Trek movie soundtrack CDs come with additional soundbites and effects sounds after the music. Open with 30 seconds of the Classic Trek theme. Everybody knows it. Then your stage set. Cute while you sett down your bag and wipe down the pole and what not before you start dancing.
What's on your mind (Pure Energy)- Information Society
and I'll think of more later...................

Orion - Star Trek (there several mixes on the CD single)

so far I've acquired a whole bunch of the suggestions here and most are easily workable into a set. THANKS everybody.
That was a FREAKIN' FABULOUS compilation. Iam not doing a space them but I am gonna use LUNATIC FRINGE! Bless you.![]()

"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
Benny Benassi stuff sounds very "spacey"... haha. That was funny to me, and I threw up a little in my mouth.
Yes, Benny Benassi. Especially, the "Satisfaction (Greece Dub Mix)".
As a matter of fact that would be a good theme for a Star Trek Set... very synthesized, obscure house music. Write that down

There's a pretty good club mix of EJ's "rocket man" as well. If you REALLY want to stretch it, there's a rather obscure dancey/futurepop/industrial/whatever band called S.P.O.C.K.
No, I'm not kidding. Every single song is about Star Trek. For starters check out "Never Trust A Klingon". I honestly dont know if it would work, but it certainly fits the theme. I think basically with some Trekky SFX, any space themed song will do.

Do you have a dj that can get you the "TO BOLDLY GO,WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE"opening speach from the series??Originally Posted by myiah
Might get a few giggles if you can play the speach during the intro.

no, I'm not at the same club for more than a week at a time.....so guaranteeing myself a dj that can handle playing the right song can sometimes be a challenge, let alone getting them to edit in sound effects at the appropriate time lol.
maybe i can get one of the good djs at a club i'm going to soon to mix me something and burn it for me, it's worth a shot anyways.
thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I have a red short dress type of one... not yet purchased just looking at to purchase.... so do you think it would be better if I took the design and instead got a blue or yellow one made???Originally Posted by ArmySGT.
