    Default Had my first incident...

I had my first incident last night where a custy got a little aggressive with me. Thank-God a bouncer was walking by and was able to get him away from me and threw him out of the club.

I had posted a week ago looking for help with this, I got some good answers about what to do to prevent them from getting aggressive. What about when it's too late, if they grab you or touch you or even assualt you when there isn't security in the immediate vicinity?.

What kind of actions or self-defense moves are best for dealing with guys like this?.

    Thanks again,

    Sunny

I took self defense. Never punch a man straight on, it'll break your fingers. Use your palm in an upward motion to hit them in the chin or neck. Or use the sides of your hands to punch. Don't kick near the groin, as much as they say to, because a man will close his legs too quickly out of reflex, instead, kick the inside of his knee. Always keep your hands near your face in case he fights back. And USE YOUR VOICE, yell at him, scream. He will most likely desist.

    Good advice Lillith,

I would just add one thing. The groin is a great target because a good hit there can cause alot of pain for a good deal of time.

You're right about guys closing thier legs or blocking it, so the thing to do is hit them first somewhere else to distract them. A poke in the eyes or kick to the knee is good and then when their hands move and they are distracted - Whammo! right in the balls!

a hit with great force, either with a flat palm, a closed fist, or a blunt object, to the throat can kill, so remember to use this only as a last resort. also, make your hand in the shape of a swan's head and strike at the eyes. an upward thrust with the base of the palm to the nose will cause a great deal of pain, and if you're strong enough, break it. punching the kidneys will not disable, but will likely cause enough pain to distract your assailant while you strike at more vital areas. always remember to keep yourself in shape, and strong, and don't drink enough on your shift to make you lightheaded. eat enough, as well. if anything happens, you want to be in peak condition. also, remember, there is a reason stilletto heels are named after assasin's knives. if you cannot remain balanced while kicking with them, slip them off and use them as weapons. if you smash a heel into the neck at the base of the back of the head, you can cause excrutiating pain and even severe and permanent injury. beer bottles, or champagne bottles, can be smashed to make venerable weapons. remember, anything you have that makes you more dangerous increases the odds of him simply giving up, especially since you're in a place full of witnesses.

If someone grabs your arm, twist in the direction of their thumb. A lot of people have really weak thumbs but strong grasps in the other direction. Poke behind the ear or under the point of the jaw in the back. It hurts A LOT.

Step on the in step as hard as you can. Stilletos are great for this. :^)

These are all great ideas, but the bouncer at my club said you can have charges pressed against you if you fight back physically instead of getting a bouncer to do it for you. Is this true?

i threatened to press charges on a stripper who slapped me, punched me, and then kicked me with her heel in my face. and he was all ready for it until he realized i was over the age of 21.

just to cover my ass before someone asks, me and my friend had just walked in we went up to the bar, she was dancing on the bar she came up i waved my hand signaling i didnt want her near me. she still came up to me i backed off from the bar, she opens her garter for a dollar. i said fuck you i told you i didnt want you near me. thats when she proceded to do assualt me. i think it was a little undeserving over a dollar.

A girl at a local club had a 300 pound guy charging at her like a bull with no bouncers around, so she took off her shoe and knocked a hole in his head. They had to fire her as a liability.

Yep, strip clubs don't like you doing slef-defense even if they have bad security.

A hit in the adam's apple can do wonders...not vey hard (that can cause serious injury)...they won't be able to breathe and will immediately stop.

You might as well fight. "Better tried by 12 jurors than carried by 6 pallbearers."

I've had more than a few unpleasant incidences due to my tiny size and smart mouth. For women, some quick moves include biting, kicking, and elbowing for the vitals or groin, if you are unable to blind him with some of the moves detailed above. And yes, if your adrenaline is kicking in, you stand a chance at getting away or making him re-think his assault.

yesterday when a guy was practically smothering me (hands suddenly pressing on my face), I dug my nails into his hands enough to make him bleed. It was just instinct, but it worked. I didn't even realize what was happening because it happened so quickly and then I panicked...he claimed he didn't know he was covering me so I couldn't breathe, and apologized. Yeah right.

She shouldn't have attackd you but it was REALLY fucking rude to do what you did. You waved her away so you wouldn't have to tip a girl who got naked for you?! If it was 'only a dollar' you could've easilly given it to her. We're not on stage just so you can tip who you chose and please. We're up there naked for you and if you don't like our bodies or us, then please don't sit at the bar during our song, thanks.

^mollyzmoon, it was probably one of those f*cking choking fetish guys. They can barely keep their hands to themselves in a strip club.
Anyway, you did great! Most women would have panicked.

^ Absolutely! Explain the gift, though. Not as common as earrings or candy, but worth way more! Great idea.

all women, not just dancers, should take self defense. you may be saving her life. excellent and thoughtful idea.

as for biting- a bite closed over the throat, if you an get at it, is an excellent move, but it can be lethal if you succeed in crushing the trachea. try to bite softer parts of the body- biting hard muscle will just wear your jaw out without achieving much. also, if you have a bridge, never use your teeth as weapons. you'll just snap out your bridge.

The law says you can fight back if attacked but you cannot do overwhelming injury just out of your own personal anger. You must have a justifiable reason in the mind of a 'reasonable' person to believe you may be harmed to disable a person.

It's odd that typically liquor-free clubs will have more security staff than clubs that serve liquor, even though drunken patron cause much more risk to dancers. It's good to test the security staff or get many other opinions of their responsiveness before you put down roots at a perticular club.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

I don't think that a lawsuit would stand up in court if you simpley acted with reasonable force in self defense. The only lawsuit I personally can think of was a guy who grabbed a girls cookie on stage, she smashed a beer bottle of his head and she and the club were sued. I guess she should have slapped him? I've only had to struggle to get away a couple times. The most force I've ever used was I actually shoved a man to the ground when he was trying to force me down on a couch in a curtained private dance area. He actually went down! He didn't speak English so he threw a $100 bill at me and ran away. That part was kinda cool! Anyhow I've only ever had one guy thrown out of a bar and that was for whipping out his dick. I told him the dance was over and he tried to come at me so I ran to the bouncer and then hid in the back while the dancer threw him out.

The defense attack needs to be quick and get away screaming. Anything above this, could land you in jail and big law suits for you and the club. I'm not sticking up for the customer/dirt bag that would do something so dispicable, just trying to keep the dancer out of more trouble.

If a customer drinks and gets out of hand, extremely so. Are you willing to kill him with a blow to the throat? Blind him? Permante scar? Maybe these could be justified.

I would think there could be signs that a customer may get out of controll ahead of time. Too much to drink, slurs his speach, stumbles when walking.

I understand everyone needs to make money and this customer could be a cash cow, but maybe it's just better to just let a customer in this condition go.

    FWIW, Rick

    Foxey,

Great input, they don't have to be drunk. Were there any signs that maybe you could have seen earlier that this could happen?

I think mostly when a guy gets too hands on. it's in the heat of the moment. Speaking from a guy's point of view, when a dancer gets you really worked up "IT'S HARD TO CONTROL". Just be nice and remind us of the rules, let us calm down a little bit and we'll be ready for more.

That's why I like groin strike so much, no marks, usually no bruising and a good deal of pain. It makes lawsuits and charges much less likely. I have only done it when it was warranted so I don't feel any guilt.

I think about the 3 or 4 times I was in a physically dangerous situation it worked great without any follow-up problems.
